cliniqueWhat is the best concealer for circles under your eyes?
a really good concealer is the yves saint laurent solid concealer it is about 拢20.00 but it is really smooth and creamy on the skin and not greasy at all also the touche eclat is good but i prefer the solid option xWhat is the best concealer for circles under your eyes?
I've tried a few, including expensive ones, but I use the Aldi one now. It's only about 拢3.50 ish. It's the perfect texture for blending, stays on well and gives good coverage.
I like the Chanel liquid one.

MAC Select Cover Up or Studio Finish Concealer for under-eyes?

Pretty much all in the title.

I need the one that is best for completely covering up dark under-eye circles?

Thanks mucho. %26lt;3333333MAC Select Cover Up or Studio Finish Concealer for under-eyes?
I would say MAC Studio Finish Concealer SPF 35. I use a neutrogena one though. I have horrible under eye circles also. What i do is use the concealer then i use this

http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?鈥?/a> .

It may sound weird but its reccommended by any makeup artist. This is the one the sephora people told me to use. When i use both it works like a charm and makes my eyes so bright. Even though it says its for under your eyebrows they said its best to use for under eyes for dark circles. I use it for both every day and WOW! its great

Also you can get your makeup done somewhere and they can help you with it.

My skin is really dark under my eyes, so I dont wear my contacts often. How should I apply the concealer?

and foundation to cover this and make skin tone even all over?My skin is really dark under my eyes, so I dont wear my contacts often. How should I apply the concealer?
I'm going to assume you wear glasses then!

All right.

Firstly, apply a mineral foundation, since that stays on better when you're wearing glasses. Next, apply bright and saturated hues to your lids. Stay away for grays and browns, because they bring attention to your dark circles.

Put a light color (like white or pearl) on the ball of your lid and on your brow bone. This draws attention upward to your eyes and not your circles.

For your concealer, apply on opaque salmon color.

Good luck!My skin is really dark under my eyes, so I dont wear my contacts often. How should I apply the concealer?
If you want a good concealer to hide the dark circles, then try this one by Bourjois called Brush Concealer. I was amazed with the results. It's an illuminating one.

The shade Beige Rose is salmon coloured %26amp; that's what make-up artists recommend for dark circles %26amp; altho' at first it looks a different colour to your skin, after a little while it really blends in well %26amp; hides the dark circles really well.

If you have really pale skin, I'd buy buy the Beige Claire though.

http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s鈥?/a>

The way to apply it is you twist the top the brush concelaer which disperses the concleaer. then you dot the liquid on several areas unde your eyes %26amp; then blend with the brush. You then dab the rest with yur little finger (don't pull as the skin here is very delicate), making sure it has blended in .

also, try this natural remedy trick for under the eyes:

';...use vitamin C-rich raw potatoes. You simply grate a large potato and squish the pulp and juices into a poultice which you apply and leave on the skin overnight.The idea is that this simple remedy creates a nourishing skin food to regenerate skin tissue at the cellular level and leave the skin looking clear and revitalised...';
Don't use concealer. You firstly need sleep! And secondly, do this :

Put two spoons in the fridge for 10-15 mins. And place them on your eyelids for about 20 mins before you go to bed =]

It really helps!

  • Why doesn't my concealer hide the dark circles under my eyes?

I uses concealer under my eyes to hide the dark circles but you can still see them! I can't get rid of them even with 12 hours sleep please helpWhy doesn't my concealer hide the dark circles under my eyes?
The concealer can come really in handy with spots and under eye circles but it must be applied well. 1)you have to pat it and not to drag over the blue of the circles. Pat it until the blue is fully covered.

2)Remember that you need an orange concealer to hide the blue because orange is the only color that eliminates blue. If you don't have one mix your concealer with an orange lipstick and apply it.

    It works trust me!

KissWhy doesn't my concealer hide the dark circles under my eyes?
I also have a dark circle problem. The amount of sleep is irrelevant, it's probably hereditary, my mom have them too. Avon had a product called ';Look Alert Eye Brightener';, its made just for this problem. They offer a money back guarantee on all their products, so you can't lose.
    Sarah

    Before any makeup goes on, you should treat your dark circles with what I use and recommend;

    Extreme Eye Rescue

    http://www.isabellapelle.com/eyewrinklec鈥?/a>

12 hrs of sleep is a lot, oddly enough oversleeping deepens the dark circles, so keep it normal 8-9hrs, no more.

hope this helps you as it did for me.
What kind of concealer are you using?

If it's the cheap ones that you can easily buy at a Wal-Mart or a drugstore, those tend to not work.

Sometimes they do but if your dark circles are too dark then you need to use a better concealer.

I recommend the Urban Decay Concealer, but it is kinda pricey.

    http://www.urbandecay.com/categories/247鈥?/a>

It works marvelous though! I love using it.
well since u have a color lighter dont go any lighter or it'll look even darker

and wen applying make sure to cover up all the darkness and either dab on wit a brush or wit ur ring finger because ur ring finger has less pressure to it and when using the other fingers u will burst the capilaries under ur skin and it will caus emore darkness. after that proceed to applying ur powder or whatever it is u use
try using..a shade lighter than you foundation..and then apply your foundation and the rest of your makeup then..when you do you eyes..highlight your tearduct..it should take some of the foucus off of your dark circles..good luck
i think it would be a better idea to go to mac and asking for help to get the right color of concealer for your skin type.. it's only $16 bucks and it last a long time...
there are certain concealers that arent made to prevent these circles....also did you make sure it is the right shade for you?

the best way to conceal blue/purple circles are to get a yellow concealer to cover up the color and then apply a regular concealer

to cancel out blue you use orange and to cancel out purple you use yellow. so getting a yellow with orange undertones or the other way around will work for both. :)

    green cancels out red.
try using a shade lighter than ur skin color

I have horrible under-eye circles and no matter what I do no cream and/or natural remedy works.

So, I was wondering what the BEST undereye concealer is?

I have tried a million undereye concealers and no matter what they say they still smudge and and get all splotchy and look caked on and ware off after awhile.

So I was wondering if any of you knew of a wicked undereye concealer that is waterproof that you can't get off very easily and stays on when swimming... etc.,

It's a powder, but it's creamy. And it's minerals so it's good for your skin. I just put it on with an eyeshadow brush and kinda pat it/smooth it out.

    Concealer under the eyes?

Hi, I'm 34 years old and I have some fine lines under my eye, I've been trying so many eye creams and nothing really works (reduce fine lines) I wonder if anyone knows if there's any concealer to cover fine lines under your eyes. Since eye cream can't erase my fine line, I'm thinking using something to cover it during the day.Concealer under the eyes?

i'd say shiseido...just go to a shiseido makeup counter and let them find you a good concealer
I have had good luck with Vincent Longo concealer.

Which MAC concealer/ foundation is better to hide VERY dark circles under the eyes?

(my skin is fairly oily, and I'm 19)

If you had to select between the concealers ';studio finish SPF 35'; and ';select cover-up,'; which one would you recommend?

And for the foundation, ';Face and Body'; or ';studio fix'; or ';studio tech'; ?

What are the good things you found about these products, and what are some negative things?

thanksWhich MAC concealer/ foundation is better to hide VERY dark circles under the eyes?
I would definitely say the select cover up because it will evenly cover the dark circles without any of the darkness showing through. For foundation, I would say studio fix because it's not as oily, and would be less likely to break you out. Also, I believe that they can give you a sample, but most MA's won't. You just have to hint that you want one...like: ';I've always been meaning to try this stuff, but I don't want it to break me out after I buy the whole thing. Then it would go to waste.'; Usually they pick up on it and give you a sample. (: Hope this helps (:Which MAC concealer/ foundation is better to hide VERY dark circles under the eyes?
Studio Finish Concealer covers absolutely everything. It completely covered my sister's forehead when she got doodled on with a black permament marker that wouldn't wash off, so it will cover undereye circles effortlessly.

As for foundation, it depends on how much coverage you want. Studio Fix is better for oily skin, and can be used along woth Fix+ to turn it into a liquid foundation if you don't like powder. It gives very good coverage. Face And Body foundation is a more natural foundation. It's a water-based product, and it very hydrating, with a sheer coverage.

Studio Tech starts off as an emolient water-based foundation, but blends into a powder-like finish. It gives full coverage as well.

    Zivah.
You would like Select cover... but you have to test each and see how it works for your skin. Studio Finish is mostly for blemishes, and it can be thick under eyes. Which sometimes causes creasing. Studio Fix is for oily skin, but it's not cakey powder. They don't have samples at MAC, but they will apply it on you so you can see what you want.
the spf 35 is WAY better for me at least

and i use the face and body because the studio tech is to much for me so ya

    good luck

The Professional trick is to get a good, matte, orange lipstick. You may look at me like I'm crazy but, trust me, it really works. Just apply the orange lipstick where the dark circle is. The orange counteracts with the dark circle. All you need to do after that is apply your foundation, and voila! The dark circles are gone.Concealer for under eyes?
Avoid yellow concealer. It makes you look tired because the yellow undertone makes you look sallow. Try something with a pink base instead. Benefit makes a pink under eye concealer. I'll post a link...

Lancome has a wonderful yellow concealer - it comes in a cream or liquid. I prefer the cream, but I sometimes have to mix a bit of moisturizer with it when I put it on. Here is the product: Lancome Photogenic Skin-Illuminating Concealer SPF 15....The COLOR that you need is Correcteur. Lancome does have a co.uk website, although I am not finding this product on it. It can be purchased in the US at Dillards, Macys, any of the big department store chains. I am not sure who of those sell in the UK, but you might also check EBay.

i totally feel your pain. i've been trying out different brands of under eye concealer for YEARS now and i think i've finally found the perfect combination:

    step 1: amazing cosmetics concealer

using a concealer brush or ring finger dab a VERY small amount (this stuff goes a loooong way. you only want a thin layer) under your eye and in the corner. also, i like to go over my eye lid with this, too, because it will brighten and even out your entire eye area for a nice, clean canvas.

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P59405%26amp;categoryId=S10820%26amp;shouldPaginate=true

step 2: bare essentials: well rested

using a different concealer brush, pick up a small amount of powder and dab under your eye and in the corner to set the concealer leaving a matte finish.

    http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P213227%26amp;categoryId=S10820%26amp;shouldPaginate=true

step 3: take whatever powder you normal use and lightly brush over your entire eye-area and face to even everything out.

seriously, this is the only combination that i've ever found that actually works and i've been struggling with this for YEARS. i know that both products are on the expensive side, but i promise you that they're worth EVERY penny.Whats the best concealer for under eyes? pale skin tone.

    Concealer under my eyes?

i have hereditary dark circles under my eyes. when i apply concealer, it looks cakey even before i apply powder. any suggestions to fix this? should i just opt to not use concealer under my eyes?

thanks in advance!Concealer under my eyes?
What kind of concealer do you use? It could be that you're using cheap concealer. I suggest MAC select cover-up (it's only $15 and lasts a long time). I apply that with a small makeup brush and then blend it in with my finger. It works really well.

Yeah, idk, I tend to shy away from brands you find in most stores (like CoverGirl and Almay). Except for maybe mascara, it tends to look cheap. But that could just be me haha.Concealer under my eyes?
Concealer sticks are drying, that's why your under-eye starts to look cake-y.

    For dark under-eye circles,

drugstore: Try Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector

One side is a liquid concealer and the other side is a liquid highlighter.

department store: MAC select moisture cover or select cover up

These are both liquid, don't cake, and have decent coverage.

MAC is the better choice if you can afford it, but Maybelline is a decent alternative.

Btw, you should put moisturizer/eye cream on before your concealer, if you don't already.

    %26lt;3
You don't need both concealer and powder at the same time :)

If you have naturally even, nice skin and just want to take off the shine than you could use a light powder

if not you could (do what I do and) just wear a foundation that matches in with your skin

you gotta find a good foundation and not one that makes you look fake and cake-faced and blends really easily

you'll most likely experiment with a few before you find one you want to stick to but foundation is very important! people have to look at you day to day ;P

    good luck!!
i saw on the tyra show once that you should put your concealer on after you foundation, but that was liquid foundation, maybe try the same shade as your powder in liquid, put that on, then the concealer and then the powder, i use the cover girl true blend, its lightweight so you don't feel like your skin can't breath and blend very well and they have a tester thingy that you hold up to your hand so you can match your color
    I have the same problem.

I use PHYSICIANS FORMULA CIRCLE RX CIRCLE CONTROL CONCEALER. It is about seven dollars and provides wonderful coverage for deep, dark, undereye circles and it also lightens them with continued use.

You can find it at your local wal-mart, CVS, or any drugstore.
If your concealer is cake like then it may be time to try something new. You should have no issue with using a foundation, then a concealer stick under your eyes, with a powder on top. What are you using?
You should use Physicians Formula concealer, it works really well! And it is not cakey just apply well.

ORRRRRRR...try using Bare Minerals, it's amazing.
if you want good, extraordinary results you should buy lancome or estee lauder, believe me, I tried lots of drugstore products, none of them work..... I use Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv intensive concealing Duo on weekends and LANCOME maquicomplet conceler for weekdays
I use MaryKay's concealer, because I also have heavy dark circles under my eyes. This concealer makes my skin look flawless including under my eyes. If you want more info. on this e-mail me jasminemclin@yahoo.com
I think you need different concealer.

Try Almay Bright eyes its made for those circles. Thats what i use and its amazing and natural

I tend to have dark circles under my eyes often because of lack of sleep plus genetics. I put on concealer but i don't wear any other face makeup because i just don't like it. Whenever i put on the concealer under my eyes it seems to look really cakey and very obvious that i am wearing concealer...i don't know if i'm doing something wrong or what..Concealer under the eyes?
It could be cakey as a result of not moisturizing enough, so make sure you put some moisturizer before the concealer. The reason it is standing out is because you may have the wrong shade for your skintype, or you aren't blending it well enough to the skin that you aren't covering.Concealer under the eyes?
ok you feel that there's something wrong because concealer is a liquid makeup to cover something you don't like from your face.

but then if you're wearing a concealer you should tap out face powder with it; the reason your concealer at the bottom of your eyes looks cakey cause of the heat of the sun or your perspiration.

    if you try putting powder on top of it then this won't make it cakey anymore;

but then if it still does that, then use ANOTHER concealer because probably the product your using is to liquidize.
they are kinda of pricey but bobbi brown makes a great corrector and concealer. I use both, because I am blessed with hereditary italian dark under eye circles. go to their make-up counter and get color matched. you can then just put on either light weight foundation, or just powder over it.

first I use the corrector. Then apply concealer and powder over it. it never feels cakey or anything. just looks like I naturally got a good nights sleep!

I have the same problem- without concealer and/or foundation, i look like the bride of frankenstein, esp. if i get less than 6/7 hours of sleep, which is like everyday lol.

Just make sure to not put too much on and spread it out evenly.

Also you probably want to replace your concealer every 9 months or so, starting when you first open it, so germs dont collect.

    Hope I helped love :)
I have the same thing. What type of concealer are you wearing? I use Mineral Make up and people say my skin glows!

If you go to the mall they will help you find the right tone for your skin.

    ~Good Luck~
Usually I try not to use concealer under my eyes. It usually makes dark circles look even more noticable. Try using some other types of make up.
i had the same problem, put on moisturizer first, then apply a concealer that's meant for under eyes. it makes a huge difference =]
You should apply foundation after you apply the concealer.
Try a different concealer like brand or maybe you have the wrong color. And if that still dosnt work try blending it better
go to a bookstore and casually pick up and thumb through the bobbi brown makeup manual. BEST THING EVER. and find what you need and leave. :]
you should try putting less =] and if it has a yellowish tint it will cover dark circles better

Problem: I wear concealer under my eyes but I'm getting fine lines already (I'm only 27)?

How can I still wear concealer (because I have dark circles without it)... and not age the undereye skin quickly due to the makeup? Lately I've been taking it off asap when I'm at home...but what else can I do?? When I squint I can see very prominent wrinkles/lines...?Problem: I wear concealer under my eyes but I'm getting fine lines already (I'm only 27)?
You should start wearing eye cream. It keeps the delicate skin around your eye area moisturized and helps prevent fine lines from forming. The sooner you start the better. If you apply the eye cream under your concealer, it will help the makeup go on more smoothly too.Problem: I wear concealer under my eyes but I'm getting fine lines already (I'm only 27)?
You need to experiment with concealers. Some are a bit thick, or not the right color for certain skin tones.

For now, add some under-eye lotion to thin the concealer out a bit.
Color Science makes a concealer called My favorite eye cream. It's a concealer that's yellow and glides on smooth and is also a cream. It doesn't look yellow on, though. I love it.
um, you're 27.....that's what happens. My friend is a bartender and that's how she judges whether or not to id.....wrinkles when smiling = over 21... but for makeup, it won't cause wrinkles...smoking, drinking, and sun cause wrinkle. Clinique has an undermakup mouse primer that ';fills'; small lines and pores. works pretty well.
use topical botox, it is awesome I do.

I use ultrox. cheapest place to get it is www.athomeskincare.com (i think 49.95 but it last me 3 months the other webistes have it for 79.00, so I just love it. and it numbs you and has some knd of really good acid in it so its antiaging too. read about it
put a little vaseline...not much, and then take your foundation if you wear any and dap it under your eyes with a sponge...

i am 22 and if i use conscealer, i can see big lines under my eyes which i don't have without makeup...i just don't wear any conscealer...but try vaseline, it works for me...

For anyone with under-eye discoloration...what do you use to cover/fix it? For example: what concealer?

I have really bad discoloration from dark circles, allergies, blue veins, and redness. I have tried many coverups but nothing seems to cover as much as I would like. Some work well at first but wear off after a few hours...or the cake and crack...or change colors. What I would really like is a way to eliminate or lessen one or a couple of the imperfections. Is there a lotion that lessens redness or something like that...

If you could recommend a coverup or a product for me that would be great!

THANKSFor anyone with under-eye discoloration...what do you use to cover/fix it? For example: what concealer?
I too suffer from dark circles, veins and redness. Just keep in mind that you aren't trying to get rid of the problems but to blend your makeup so that the under eye skin is uniform to the rest of your face. I use Benefit's Boeing concealer. The darkest color works for me. Try experimenting if you don't already have a concealer that works for you. I put my concealer after moisturizing but before anything else. For an under eye moisturizer you could try Bior茅's cooling eye gel.For anyone with under-eye discoloration...what do you use to cover/fix it? For example: what concealer?
I use neutrogenia's 3 in 1 concealer it is an eye cream, concealer, and had SPF 30 in it i got mine at walmart. i used it for a little while and then got a comment form my mom saying i no longer had circles under my eyes. i have no problems with it staying or anything

Is concealer made only for the dark circles under your eyes?

or can you use it like foundation and put it anywhere? Is concealer made only for the dark circles under your eyes?
You can use it on zits, on dark spots, anywhere you wish to hide a booboo. The key is to use it with a light touch, as it is always easier to add on than to remove, and blend, blend, blend! It is a good idea to use a concealer brush for exact placement and your fingers to blend. A good trick is to rub your hands toghether before blending to warm them up. Try different textures for different parts of your face, a thicker concealer, for example, is great to hide dark spots on your face, but you will want to use a lighter one around your eyes, because wrinkles will show more with a thick cream. Is concealer made only for the dark circles under your eyes?
nono! concealer is to hide spots, blemishes etc. to hide dark cirles under yoru eyes you actually need a different product e.g. a correcter like YSL touch eclat
nope. u can put it anywhere u like, to conceal anything on your face.
Use of concealer is to ';hide'; imperfections. A foundation will do the same. There are different levels in thickness of the fluid, moisturizers, anti-shine etc. Some concealers contain different colors, such as blue, green, pink and yellow. Mary Kay (you can have your wife order it for you) makes a product called firming eye cream. It has light reflectors in it to make them appear lighter. It also has nourishments in it to improve it also. I have also heard a vitamin K cream helps also. If you want, I can put you in touch with my MK consultant. Just send me an e-mail.

Try not to watch as much t.v.

you have the hour spread it apart. like 15 minutes in the morning.. 5 minutes for fun in the middlle of the day..and ect.

When people say get a lot of sleep we don't mean go to bed a 1:00 in the morning so you can wake up at 3:00 p.m. the next day.

these are just some basic tip to help you
I once saw it on T.V that you could use potatoes..hope it works=]
apply hydrocortisone cream or apply cold compresses...
Skin under the eyes is sensitive and thinner as compared to the rest of the face. This part of the face is particularly susceptible to poor nutrition, stress, lack of sleep and lifestyle issues. Here are some causes of Dark Circles and Puffy Eyes:

-Poor blood circulation in the under eye area can lead to poor oxygenation which will result in dark circles under the eye.

-The above is a direct cause of poor nutrition especially lack of Vitamin C and E in the diet.

-Stress plays a big part in inducing dark circles under the eye. High stress levels invariably lead to poor sleeping habits which can cause dark circles under the eyes.

-Lack of sleep and rest due to lifestyle issues is a common reason for this problem.

-Lack of fresh air and light exercise can also lead to under eye problems.

-Hereditary factors can also cause dark circles. If there is a genetic predisposition to pigmentation, then dark circles under the eyes may be due to factors out of the control of the person.

-Puffy Eyes are caused by excessive salt intake which may lead to water retention.

-Poor dietary habits especially too much fat intake and excessive alcohol intake can directly lead to puffy eyes.

-Poor sleeping position may also lead to puffy eye problems.

Here are some solutions recommended by beauticians and healthcare experts:

-Local application of certain bleaching agents and glycolic acids does seem to help in reducing the dark circles in many cases.

-Local application of creams rich in vitamin C and E may also help in counteracting poor nutrition by stimulating blood flow under the eye, reducing the incidence of dark circles.

-Some de pigmentation products like Kogic acid, used under the guidance of a trained professional can help in reducing the dark pigmentation, improving the condition of the skin under the eye.

-Most people may find the cause to be a lifestyle related. Some light outdoor exercise in the fresh air, good deep sleep and a break from the hectic work environment will improve facial skin giving it a glow and reducing dark circles dramatically.

0For people who suffer from dark under eye circles on a permanent basis and the cause is hereditary, it may be better to use, clever makeup and learn to live with the problem.

-Some beauty treatments which consist of ozone treatments and skin lightening packs can also help to a certain degree.

-A simple home remedy is to put hot (warm) and cold tea bags alternatively, directly on the closed eyes and directly above the dark circles for some relief.

-Get rid of puffy eyes by putting cotton wool dipped in warm tea over the affected portion.

-Try dipping cotton wool in cucumber juice and applying below the eyes. Keeping Cucumber pieces over the eyes for fifteen minutes a day also help in reduction of this problem.

-Try to sleep straight on the back with a low pillow . This can help in reducing puffy eye problem.

-A better long term solution is to modify the lifestyle to find permanent relief. Reducing alcohol intake, reducing fat intake and regular light outdoor exercise can help in improving skin under the eye and getting rid of puffy eyes.

I hope that helps. It is important to first find a cause of the beauty related problem, before rushing to the market to buy creams and gels for the skin. Many a times, the cause may be found in poor nutrition, poor exercise regimen and stress related issues. Some modification in the way we live combined with some short term solutions will normally improve quality of life and also external beauty.
I have the same problem, people always told me to get more rest and to cut back on using salt cause a lot of salt intake contributes to the dark circles. I am not sure if that it true or not. There are creams you can use which is probably the only way to go. I'm not talking about make up, just a daily cream you put on.
Some people say get more sleep but if you're the one with the black circles under your eyes, you know that it's just not that, that you always have them either way. There is good news, there are alternative ways to lose the black circles under your eyes without make up. My modeling agent told me to use a gel eye mask when I sleep that has been put in the freezer for about half an hour. I thought cold only helped with swelling! But, they did clear up quite a bit. Also, they sell creams and treatments that you can buy by the face lotions and scrubs at any local drug store or even a place like Wal-Mart or K-Mart.
stay healthier. excercize, eat right and get lots of sleep! oh, and use the computer less!!
Get the proper amount of sleep. Eat right, exerices and overall take care of yourself.
get more sleep and use the computer a lot less, especially before you're about to go to sleep.

I have very dark under-eye circles; always have %26amp; always will. I get plenty of sleep, I exercise almost daily, eat healthy, take care of my skin, use eye masks, etc etc etc.

For some of us, the problem just Will Not Go Away!!!

Here's a few things that help my stubborn dark circles:

    * A good eye cream. I've used Clinique All About Eyes and something by Aveda, but I'm sure several brands work fine.

    * Taking allergy medicine everyday; I swear by Zyrtec (by prescription only).

    * My dermatologist says Preparation H, used as an eye cream, helps somewhat. I tried it once or twice but didn't see much improvement.

    * You didn't mention puffiness, but if it is also a problem, sleep with your head slightly elevated, and wear an eye mask or ';happy eye pillow';. Apply a frozen spoon to the eye area if you have major puffiness. Sadly for us, puffy eyes are *much* easier to treat than dark circles!!

    * Although you don't want to resort to makeup, it is actually the only way to really reduce dark circles. Nowadays, makeup is fine on anyone, including men (assuming the application is minimal). Ask a professional at the MAC counter for help. Think about it, you'll feel awkward for like 10 minutes while you're buying the concealer, but you'll look and feel better %26amp; more confident for MONTHS while wearing it. And no one will know you have it on!

What foundation/concealer should I use to cover up freckles/dark circles under my eyes?

Please don't tell me that freckles are gorgeous, because they're not on me. Okay? I'm only asking for brands here, brands that will cover up my freckles and dark circles under my eyes well. By the way, what's the difference between foundations and concealers?

Thanks! What foundation/concealer should I use to cover up freckles/dark circles under my eyes?
The absolute BEST BRAND of makeup (which can cover up the circles and freckles) is MAC. You can look up the locations where they sell it on their website. At the stores they can do a consult and put the makeup on you to show you how it works or the right foundation. I've been using it for 8 years and people used to call me Porcelain Doll because of how clear it made my face look apparently. After using it, I would never use another brand unless I couldn't get this stuff...What foundation/concealer should I use to cover up freckles/dark circles under my eyes?
YES - STUDIOFIX powder is the foundation powder i use - it is the BEST! Report Abuse

foundation is your makeup for all over your face. it's lighter than concealer, because foundation mostly gives you light/moderate coverage, and not full like concealers.

concealer does what it sounds like it should: conceals blemishes, freckles, dark circles...any sort of imperfection. concealers are opaque, for the most part (meaning; you can't see through them: total full coverage).

sounds like you don't need both, so use whatever you are using for makeup all over your face, but i know a great, cheap drugstore concealer that hides EVERYTHING.

    physician's formula: conceal rx physician's strength concealer...$8 at walgreen's.

    good luck!
Oil of Olay, illuminating eye concealer!!! Get it, it's worth the price and really works. You don't want real haevy makeup, it makes a person look like a phony and a clown if they sweat. A moisture tint is great. Hey, freckles are cute!!!
Try Smashbox, camera ready full coverage concealer, is amazing!!! it covers everything. I like their powders better than mineral also because it holds on better than mineral makeup, for me atleast. Try the Halo powder!
I have tried tons of concealers to get the perfect match..I found Nivea Concealer was the perfect one it adjusts your tone %26amp; doesn't appeal like your putting anything

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

studio finish concealer by mac. get it in a shade light thank your skin so it highlights and reflects the light, which will stop drawing attention to yours. tbh, a word of advice. everyone has their flaws, i hate my nose - i hate it so much i went to the doctors at thirteen years old for a consultation for a nose job, and he made me realise that just because i hate my nose doesnt mean everyone does. its very unlikely people meet you and think ';HOLY COW look at them eye bags!'; they take in the FULL package, your image, your body, your hair, not just your eyes. so dont worry, it might seem big to you but to anyone else, its hardly noticeable.

How to keep a concealer from creasing and accentuating the fine lines under the eyes?

Does something need to be applied prior to the concealer? What type of concealer would minimize these problems? But it needs to be heavy enough to cover up significant dark circles. If you have some specific concealer brands suggestions, etc...list those as well. Thanks for the help! How to keep a concealer from creasing and accentuating the fine lines under the eyes?
When you're doing your makeup routine. Start with an under eye primer. My favorite is Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, but there are a lot out there. Then put foundation on. If you put the concealer on and then the foundation, the foundation will just wipe it off and it'll look grey. So make sure you put the concealer on last. I use Bourjois Imperfection Concealer. I do this routine everytime I put on my makeup and the dark circles are nonexistant and I've never had to worry about lines. So try that and I hope it works. How to keep a concealer from creasing and accentuating the fine lines under the eyes?
Using the airbrush foundation normally alleviates this problem, but if that is not an option I would be sure to apply moisturizer under your eye prior to putting on the concealer or foundation. This fills in the creases before applying the makeup
constant dark circles can be a sign of a medical condition. i use bare minerals and the concealer is powder too so i have no problems with that

From what I've heard (and I've looked since I have dark circles that are hereditary). If it's not a lack or sleep or an allergy or eating too much sugar, it can be just hereditary. You honestly can't do anything. You can temporarily shrink the blood vessles under the skin that causes the darkness with things like all about eyes from clinic or their concealer of the like, but sorry,. If you hear of anything, let me know. :-)

Use what is in the cap of your liquid as concealer. It has thickened so it works well as concealer. Makeup artists use this trick all the time.I lost my concealer (for under eyes). What do I do.?
hopefully you have about 15 or so minutes before you have to be anywhere. try putting metal spoons in the freezer for about five minutes, then lie down with your head propped up a bit apply the cold spoons under closed eyes. this should de-puff the bags, and putting your head up should help the blood flow from your face (more de-puffing.)

you can also wrap an ice cube or ice pack in a paper towel or wash cloth instead of using spoons.

as for the blue-ish color under your eyes, take a SMALL drop of your foundation and pat it under each eye. just make sure you apply it lightly, and the darker color of it shouldn't make much of a difference. you can also try putting a tiny bit of shimmery eye shadow under your eyes in a neutral color (tan or white) to lighten the area.
Be careful -- sometimes caking on makeup under the eyes only draws attention to the dark circles and bags. And if you have any wrinkles under your eyes, the makeup makes them look worse.

Hold ice cubes on your eyes -- that can help reduce puffiness. Use your foundation with a very light hand. People don't naturally have white circles under their eyes and you don't want that raccoon look anyway. Apply a little highlighter on your brow area. The rule is to highlight the areas you want to draw attention to and downplay those you don't. Maybe all you need is a little pale pink highlight just under your brows and nothing at all under your eyes.

    And get more sleep!
You don't have to mix it with anything just apply the foundation and use powder over it. You can dust some white eyeshadow (the shimmery kind only) on over that and it will help too if you can still see it.
just put loose powder on it. it works wonders
oh yes because the world is going to end if we don't have makeup.

A good concealer would be physicians formula under eye concealer. It goes on evenly and matches well when blended and topped off with a little loose powder. I don't like color sticks like green and purple which are recommended for skin discolorations because you still have to top of with a little foundation and loose powder and this can cause the under eye to look caked on and heavy. You also want to apply the minimal amount of make-up to the under eye because your eyes are very sensitive. I would also recommend the garnier fructis eye roller stick because it helped make my eyes a little lighter and less puffy and it costs about 12 dollars. Hope this helps because it works great for me.

    yellow not green
A salmon coloured makeup works best, believe it or not (if you're white). You want something a little yellow to counter the dark colours underneath.

Green is for red blemishes, but it works for some peoples under eye circles. Probably because they have red swelling there. Try both out.

    Good Luck!
Green is for red blemishes. I think you mean yellow and no. I've tried just about every yellow concealer on the market and none worked for me. What worked for me was a salmon, peachy concealer.

Which M.A.C. concealer is best for undereye circles and blemishes but mostly under eye circles?

studio scuplt? studio finish? select cover up?Which M.A.C. concealer is best for undereye circles and blemishes but mostly under eye circles?
I really like Studio Finish. I covers really good.

To me, the Sculpt makes my face cakey. If you let the workers know that you're going to buy a product, they will help test the product on you first.Which M.A.C. concealer is best for undereye circles and blemishes but mostly under eye circles?
Generally I would go for Select Cover Up, unless you have extremely dark circles (in which case I'd go with Studio Sculpt, which has a heavier finish). Don't go with heavier coverage unless you have to though, otherwise it can look cakey. Studio Finish is very heavy and should not be used under the eyes.
I'd say neither of the ones you said/

I'd go with the studio stick because all you have to do is swipe under the eyes and blend a little. With blemishes just dab and set.

select cover up's good for large areas, studio sculpt cakes unless you're extremely oily and studio finish doesnt really cover the red from blemishes that well.

How do I Know which is the right concealer for my dark shadows, under my eyes?

Is there anything else I could use to reduce them? How do I Know which is the right concealer for my dark shadows, under my eyes?
find a foundation thats one shade lighter than ur skin tone and put it under ur eyes. u could also put vitamin e cream under them every night. i tried it and it works really wellHow do I Know which is the right concealer for my dark shadows, under my eyes?
Try Yves Saint Laurent's Touche Eclat. It's brilliant and tones in with your natural skin colour. It has reflective pigments in it that lighten the skin.

To reduce the dark shadows, well i suggest getting some more sleep, but you may be lacking certain vitamins in your diet. Try using some multi-vitamins, and if you're still not happy go to the doctor, you might have underlying health issues. For the meantime, use cucumber slices to revitalize your eyes!
gurl i have the same problem and im young its sucks but i use avons stuff it works really good i use about 4 times a day and let it sit not rub it in then put a concealer thats 1 shade lighter then u hope this helps u!%26lt;3
As already mentioned Touch Eclat is great and you could use that on top of a concealer as it is light reflecting. Benefit do a brilliant concealer in 5 different shades - it covers everything!!! I use both products and some good eyecream! I have heard dark shadows are caused by dehydration - not sure if it is right though might be worth looking into it
Try different types of makeup to see which works the best.
I like DermaBlend. If that might be to much, then go for more of a cream base. It lasts longer and has better coverage. Also go with a shade lighter than your actual skin tone.

Using a base makes it easier to apply your normal foundation and hides any redness, blemishes or spots you may have. In your case the dark shadows.

First of all exfoliate your face once or twice a week to get rid of the dead skin cells. On the other days use a face wash or a moisturising soap to stop your skin from drying out. If you have dry skin on your face the foundation will not reach its maximum potential and wont cover your dark areas.

Make sure you buy the correct base and foundation to match your skin tone. A good foundation will blend into your jaw line.

First of all apply a skin moisturiser as this will make it easier to rub your base foundation in. Next apply your main foundation and add a light blusher to the apples of your cheeks. Doing this will also stop the darkness from being too noticeable. Smiling when you do this will make it easier.

    Hope this helps

Can ne1 tell me which is best concealer available for strong dark circles under the eye?

This is very simple. To cover dark circles, use a YELLOW based concealer... any brand. To cover red (blemishes), use a GREEN based concaler... any brand. Don't be afraid, they look like lipsticks and are either bright yellow or bright green. They work miracles. Simply dab a little on and pat it with your finger to smooth it around the area. then, apply some foundation or face powder on top of it and you will immediately see the difference. Can ne1 tell me which is best concealer available for strong dark circles under the eye?
First you'll want to make sure that you are hydrating yourself properly. Then you want to be sure that you are not tugging or pulling on your eye area as this accentuates the problem. Then as a cosmetic you'll want to definately try a facial highlighter. It doesn't give a cakey appearance like concealers and it has properties that reflect light rather than absorbing it thus reducing the appearance of dark circles.

Check it out on my website.

But, being on the computer today I read it should be pink tinted.

Thankss. [:Very Confused. What color is concealer supposed to be for under eye circles?
Well I'm glad to tell you that the first girl you asked was right, ALWAYS use a yellow or yellow-based concealer when you have blueish purple under eyes, this completely neutralizes the color when applied

I personally use MAC's Studio Finish concealer which works perfectly and gives me a nice opaque finish, I LOVE IT!!

use the same colored concealor that u use for the rest of ur face but one shade darker. and pressed powder over the concealor really helps.

Physicians Formula makes awesome cosmetics. For dark circles or darkness under eyes, they make a concealer that is actually yellow - It's to counteract the color. (Opposites on the color wheel cancel each other out). They also make green concealer for breakouts because the green cancels out the reddness. It's really quite cool.

Your best bet is to experiement with some colors til you find the right shade. You can also put regular concealer under your eyes and put some eye shadow over it while the concealer is still kind of wet, so the color sticks. Again - Use colors that cancel out the darkness. You might have to give up an afternoon to find your ideal shade, but it'll be worth it!
Bobbi Brown has very good colours for asian skin - and corrector tones as well. if not, there's Loreal touche magique!
For dark circle we use as professionals orange canceler.

But it is bit tricky to use, you will need practice to work for you as well.

Clean your face thoroughly now with light duping strokes apply orange canceler on your dark circles. After that carefully apply foundation on the canceler make sure not to over apply it as it might remove your canceler as well. Now apply foundation to the rest part of your face. Fix you foundation with lose powder.

What type of concealer should I buy 4 under eye circles?Brand names plz...?

Hi there, i just wanna no what type of concealer i should buy to hide my dark under eye circles. I heard taht it has to be two shades darker/lighter? Or something like that. I am really confused, as I have never used a concealer b4, so plz help me! And should I use the stick ones??? They look like lipsticks, only nude coloured. And also what type of concealer should I use to hide my spots/blemishes?? Plz help me, thanks, have a nice day u lovely people! xoxoxWhat type of concealer should I buy 4 under eye circles?Brand names plz...?
when i watch programs with make up artists on them they always say use a lighter shade to cover blemishses and bags

;)What type of concealer should I buy 4 under eye circles?Brand names plz...?
Hey there! I think a cream concealer is best for under eye circles as it gives good coverage and long lasting. (MAC do a few concealers which I have always used. I use the 'select cover up' concealer and the 'studio finish' concealer) Make sure you are applying your concealer on top of your foundation. These concealers are also good for spots! Your concealer should be one shade lighter than your skin tone (dont go too much lighter, or it will make you look like you have white marks under your eyes)

Hope this has helped you a little. xxx
First of all, you need a liquid concealer. You should apply it by gently dabbing, not rubbing as the skin around your eyes doesn't have much elasticity and rubbing can cause wrinkles over time. Secondly, make sure that it is a ';luminous'; concealer. I know that both Revlon and L'oreal make them, but I use one from The Body Shop that works quite well. Make sure you match it to your skin tone and you can use it for both dark circles and blemishes/spots.
you should use YSL TOUCHE ECLAT radiant touch, its quite expensive 拢22.50 but its really good. It covers circles under your eyes really well and you can use on stretch marks, nose and lips. Gok Wan rates it number 1! Xx
I also have major dark circles, and they are really pronounced because I have such light skin. I would recommend using a cream concealer, because liquid concealer tends to be too sheer to cover dark discolorations, and fades easily. I've read online that yellow based concealers work best to counteract dark circles, and depending on how dark your circles are, the concealer should be one to two shades lighter than your natural skin color. I currently use Prescriptives' camouflage cream, but am looking into trying Bobbi Brown's line of concealers and correctors, which have been highly recommended for concealing dark circles.

I would also recommend that you go to a makeup counter and have a makeup artist help select the right shades for you and let you try out the product before you buy it.
I use PHYSICIANS FORMULA I have a quad. to hid a multitude of sins... I get horrid under eye circles so I use the yellow to hide them... It also works for blemishes.. I also use the light concealer in PHYS. FORMULA.. It comes in a pen and is easy to apply! I go about a shade lighter.. but you may have to try a couple..

** I also started trying applying a sliced potato or cucumber slices to your eyes to ease the circles... It works.... Or even a used t-bag cooled in the freezer...

** If you are still really confused go to the local mall and have a make-up person help you decide what color works best...

    Good luck

Hi there, poor you. Dermatologist cannot help with this one. This is normally due to a lack of vitamin K, which I suspect you do not get in your diet. Try live yogurt, eggs, safflower oil, soyabean oil, fresh oily fish, fish liver oil, cabbage (coleslaw), leafy green veg. I suspect because of your age you rarely eat any of these. What tricks besides sleep and concealer remove bags under eyes?

Dip 2 cotton circles in some green tea and let them cool. Then before you go to sleep, put them onto your eyes.

Do this every night for a week and make sure that you go to bed before 10:00 ( make sure you get at least 10 hours of sleep)What tricks besides sleep and concealer remove bags under eyes?
    Hey,

Exactly same advise as my previous advisor. The tea bugs will help you to get rid off the circles. Just cool them down, lay down and put them on your eyes. If you don't feel so much comfortable with it just use the cotton paths and put them in the tea essence.

This will help you. Of course sleep, relax sleep is appreciated.

If you very stressed or angry try to relax before you go to sleep. Otherwise everything doesn't make so much sense.

    Good luck!

I'm mixed race. what type of concealer do i need to cover up my under-eye bags?

You can't really cover up bags. You can however use soothing eye treatments to take away the puffiness under your eyes then use a yellow color correcter to hide darkness if any then your foundation, and concealer.I'm mixed race. what type of concealer do i need to cover up my under-eye bags?
That all depends on your skin tone. I've met some bi-racial people who have very dark and some with very light skin. L'Oreal brand has a powdered mineral concealer and powder that work really well to cover under eye bags. They come in many different tones. Make sure you get one that is a little bit darker or perfect match with your skin to assure coverage. If it's lighter, you will need more of it to cover. Sold at Walmart and Walgreens.I'm mixed race. what type of concealer do i need to cover up my under-eye bags?
any cream concealer, because it gives good coverage and it won't dry out your skin. if its too dry it will show little lines. just get it a shade lighter than your skin color, b/c under eye area are always a little bit darker.
im a mixed race too...im a beige olive skin tone... i use mac cosmetics and abseloutley looooooooooooooooove their concealer and brushes... their a bit expensive but it soooooooooooooo worth it... trust me... the people who work there will show you which 1 will work for you and test it to make sure you like it.

Is it bad to put concealer under the eyes to hide bags and not put any makeup on for the rest of your face

I don't wear makeup (just eyeliner) so I don't know much about makeup but I realize i have horrible red bags and i feel concealer helps but I have a glow under my eyes so I don't know if that is tacky to just have that and then not have any other makeup on the faceIs it bad to put concealer under the eyes to hide bags and not put any makeup on for the rest of your face
Blend it well in a color close to your natural skin tone and it should be okay to wear alone. Always use your ring finger and tap the color onto the area. The ring finger is your weakest finger and is best for the delicate area around the eyes.Is it bad to put concealer under the eyes to hide bags and not put any makeup on for the rest of your face
depends on the color - if you go skin town then it's and smooth in well it's ok to add some touch up. I've added it to take the grayness out of my under the eye. But if it doesn't cover up with just a little then go heavier to cover but you will have to cover the whole thing up. If I use white then I have to go back over it with foundation. If I use the tinted wand liquid then I can use just a little under the eye without looking to noticiable.
if you don't wear other make up to blend it, concealer may not be the best choice. try an under eye ';bightener';. also, applying a highlighter to the corner of the eye and along the sides of the top of your nose (proximal to the eye's corner), will steer the focus upward away from your bags.
It's fine to just have a concealer similar to your skin tone. If there is an obvious glow, add a tiny bit of makeup powder over the concealer.
It would look bad if you don't wear any other makeup the concealer would look like a half a circle.
No. Just make sure you you a color that matches your skin tone and blend it in.
its fine, just make sure the color matches your skin tone

How to apply concealer to hide bags under my eyes?

I just bought this physicians formula gentle cover concealer and the powder but when i put them on my face it looked cakey and it didn't hide my bags. Should i have bought the foundation instead of the powder? What does the celebrity's make-up artist use to hide bags under the eyes? How to apply concealer to hide bags under my eyes?
Concealer is thicker than foundation so don't put too much and just use it lightly under your eyes. It wont hid ';bags'; but will work with dark under eye circles. Also with the powder, do light layers till you get the coverage your looking for.

Is it concealer that ppl put under eyes to make them less white and puffy ?

xxIs it concealer that ppl put under eyes to make them less white and puffy ?
No, DO NOT use lipstick, or even concealer.

The best thing to do would be to moisturize it, then use a light-reflector (with little tiny glitter particles) to make you look really refreshed.

Also, sleep a little more, and drink a lot of water!

people usually use it to conceal dark circles and under eye bags and you're right - it makes a big difference. you can get it fairly cheap, around 拢2-3 or splash out on it and pay a whole lot more, like 拢20.

I would reccomend Rimmel Hide The Blemish concealer from Boots or Superdrug. It's around 拢3 and nice and thick so it covers well. It is the same one in the first picture.

    hope this helps.
it's probably concealer. concealer is used as a medium to high coverage for areas such as under eye circles. The prices for the ones at mac can range up to $15.50-$16.50. You may find cheaper ones that are drugstore brands. good luck!
you can get concealer sticks from all good cosmetic make-up brands, and yes it really works. don't get one that is too light or too dark for your skin as it will look fake. and rub it in

  • Bourjois Paris new brush concealer: Any good for darkness under eyes? Any better solutions?

Does anyone have any experience of this product, or can recommend another concealer good for lighening under the eye area?Bourjois Paris new brush concealer: Any good for darkness under eyes? Any better solutions?
I haven't tried this one but I've tried nearly everything else! I think Maybelline Age Rewind concealer is really very good - it has a concealer one end and a lightener/brightener the other. It was recommended by that makeup guru Paula Begoun (I think that's how you spell her name). She tests everything on the market and writes a book called something like 'Don't go to the Makeup Counter without Me'. Another excellent product is called Thin Lizzy concealer. I bought mine overseas but you might try ebay. They reckon that can cover tattoos and is not especially drying either. I use either of these depending on how bad the circles are.Bourjois Paris new brush concealer: Any good for darkness under eyes? Any better solutions?
I use Prescriptives and it works really good. I have really dark circles under my eyes and all I have to do with my concealer is put it on the brush and dab right where the circles are. I gently blend in and I'm good. Prescriptives has a great coverage. I've never used Bourjois Paris but it might be good too.
I'm thinking of gettin' it! I saw from some mag which said

    ';The concealer when patted into the skin was marvellous, it reduced the appearance of pores, expertly hid dark circles and red spots and made the skin glow';

i think i might be getting one later, hope this helped!
