Do you put foundation and powder over the concealer under the eyes?

You shouldn't have to put foundation over your concealer, but I would put some powder just to set the concealer (just dabbing, not dragging the brush across it or you may take the concealer back off)Do you put foundation and powder over the concealer under the eyes?
Geez! Thats alot of face makeup! I mean seriously your putting some thick coverup thing (foundation) Then you put all this powder over your face then concealer? Thats a little too much..

-Lay Lays :)Do you put foundation and powder over the concealer under the eyes?
foundation then concealer then powder.
only put concealer under your eyes. Powder will just undo whatever you did to help those dark circles.
I dont really use concealer , I tend to just blend my foundation in under my eyes then powder my face with some bronzer
just the powder
only if you need it there.
No i wouldn't

Type of concealer for dark under-eye circles...?

Im Indian..and as you know we are prone to dark circles under the eyes. Which type of concealer would work effectively to cover them up without having a orange/grey tint...? And how would you apply it? I can't really afford the high end brands so any advice would help. Thanks =) xType of concealer for dark under-eye circles...?
Ok girl. You need an orange concealer. Orange in fact is the only one colour that eliminates blue. You have to pat it as well on the zone that you have to cover and not to drag it over the blue unless you won't have the right coverage. Pat it over the under-eye circles until the zone is covered and apply a little bit of powder on to fix everything. I'd suggest you Benefit concealer.

You could try a drugstore concealer.

The Covergirl Tru Bend concealer comes in a many shades, those are really good for under eyes circle.

All you do, is take the concealer applicator, dab small dots on your dark circles, take your ring finger and smooth, blend the product into the skin. Be sure to blend it with the area close to the eye circles otherwise it would stand out even more!

Be careful not to rub as the eye area is very sensitive!

This is quite cheap and a bottle of concealer, only for your undereyes circle would last for abit! :)
I cant afford high end brands either so i just buy ones off ebay , i have severe dark circles from when i had the kawasaki disease when i was younger but i cover them up with Benefit Boi-ing Concealer.

You can get it for abut 拢12 off ebay and its an industrial strength concealer so it covers really good xoxo
hmmm one time I did a science expirment (i was forced =l) on what concealers were cheap but most effective. i didn't do alot just 4 but i found that this works best

I have under eye circles... does anyone know a great brand of concealer I can use to hide them?

I have bad allergies, and I also live with pets, so my under eye circles can get pretty bad. Sometimes they get kinda reddish pink because of my allergies. I really want to hide them. Do you know any great brands that are light and possibly healthy that I can use?

Oh, and please only name products that I can buy at my local Target or Walmart!

Please note- I don't need a wrinkle treatmeant because I'm only thirteen!I have under eye circles... does anyone know a great brand of concealer I can use to hide them?
I can really reccommend the under eye cream that Avon sells. I too have lots of allergies and by using this daily it really helps alot. It is only about $12 or so, but you can find it on sale quite often. I know this isn't a concealer, but I think it is even better, because it doesn't just hide the problem, it fixes it!!I have under eye circles... does anyone know a great brand of concealer I can use to hide them?
Clinique makes a product called ';All About Eyes'; that removes dark circles from under your eyes, and it works great. :)

Allergies are an attack on your immune system, built up at the liver. You need to go to the health food store, and get a full body cleanse kit. They run around $30.00, but it is well worth the money. Next, look for XClear, it is a saline nasal wash with Xylitol [a natural sweetener, whitener made from the bark of birch trees] This stuff works! Available online and at Better Health stores. It does not contain drugs or chemicals. Stay away from over the counter or drug nasal sprays. Stay away from the doctor, they will keep you on drugs, and only treat the symptoms or tell you to get rid of the pets, that is not fair. DO get the XClear it does work. It won't narrow your nasal passages like the drugs or available nasal sprays. I don't trust any doctor. They are only good for body replacements, antibiodics only if you are dying, surgeries, and are fodder for the pharmecutical industry. Enjoy your pets, be kind to them %26amp; they will be kind to you.
HOLY CRAP...when your 20 it'll look like your 80!!!
Try a little foundation hon, you're only 13,don't worry about it.
i had the same problem ,there is a product for avon its a gel for your upper eyes and a cream for under your eyes, it really works, dont cover it up if u can get rid of it, n it wont break ya piggy bank
Personally I love the cover girl liquid conceler that comes in every shade, and has a brush to apply the liquid. It works really well and lasts almost all day.
can't you treat the allergies? some people reccomend preperation-H hemmeroid cream for dark under eye circles. but I don't know the long term effects, or if healthy for a teen. Do you have a doctor you can ask

and i am trying to buy one, but i need help.

1- what kind of concealer i should get (brand, type, etc)

    2- list the estimated price

3- where i could get it at

a picture of it would be awesome too

thanks! What is the difference between a concealer for pimples and a concealer for under your eyes?
the difference between the two is that under eye concealer is made to counteract the blueness/darkness so are peachy in tone, and concealers for pimples are made to counteract the redness so they're a more yellow tone (not yellow but more yellow then under eye ones). I dont use concealer but clinique has good ones, no harmful chemicals and they wont make the pimples worse. theyre a little pricey (i dont know how much it is in the US since i dont live there) and Im pretty sure they'd sell it at a drug store or cosmetic store.

you can check the prices here: http://www.clinique.com/What is the difference between a concealer for pimples and a concealer for under your eyes?
green concealer cover redness, yellow covers darkness like under eye circles.i think mineral makeup works best and its not as expensive as others and its better for ur skin.try www.madminerals.org

mineral makeup w/ bismuth oxychloride can irritate ur skin, the site above does not use bismuth but most drug store mineral makeup does.the madminerals is also water resitant and it can be worn as a powder or mixed w/ lotion if u need it.

Ah-may-zing!What is the BEST concealer for REALLY DARK under eye circles? IN STORES only?
I use Covergirl undereye concealer, and it works pretty well, but its all in about how you apply it. You want to use as little as possible, so that it doesn't get all caked up and into the creases. Make sure you apply it in the outer edges under your eye, and then use your finger, or brush whichever works best for you, and smudge it to the inner corner. afterwards, apply a light translucent powder to set it.
okay, first of all, concealers make under-eye circles WORSE.

try putting thinly sliced cucumber, or potato (preferably cucumber) under your eyes every night, for 10-15 min. it will work and feel good too!
LORAC Double feature. It's an highlighter and concealer in one. and It has TONS of uses!! I use the highlighter under my eyes everyday as an eye cream and brightener. It lasts all day and has antiaging properties which get of annoying little lines... The concealer with it is really good for when you have a zit.. When I really wanna look polished I combine the highlighter and concealer to use it as brightening foundation!
I use M.A.C's select moisturecover which is meant for under the eye and make sure you get a color a little lighter then your skin tone or it will just make dark circles way worse!!
i love diorshow undereye concealer expensive but worth it! its yellow counteracts any circles

GIRLS: MAKE UP ATTENTION: Help! How do you lessen the looks of black rings under your eyes without concealer?

Concealer makes it worse? Any kind of treatment you know of?GIRLS: MAKE UP ATTENTION: Help! How do you lessen the looks of black rings under your eyes without concealer?
Concealer does actually make your dark circles worse; if they are not too bad, then I recommend making a cup of chamomile tea (or just steeping the tea bags) and then freezing the tea bags. Place the tea bags on your eyes. I strongly recommend this to any of my clients. Also, if they are dark and refuse to go away after anything you've tried, they might be broken capillaries in your eyes. You would need to see a dermatologist to fix that. There is no effective home remedy. Get lots of sleep and drink a lot of water, and if they don't go away, consider seeing a derm. Hope this helps! =)GIRLS: MAKE UP ATTENTION: Help! How do you lessen the looks of black rings under your eyes without concealer?
You're welcome very much. I hope things work out between you and your face. lol. I am so not funny sometimes.... =) Report Abuse

try putting something cold on it.

the night before, put cold spoon in the freezer., the next day, (or when they're frozen.) circulate cold spoons on the area till the spoons warm up to your body temperature..

or you could just use a bag of peas (or other small frozen bagged item, peas are more useful because they fit to the form of your eyes.)

if that doesnt work, see a dermatologist. or it might be you sleeping patterns.

    good luck.
Well, concealer is still the way to go.. I fell and got a black eye from my sunglesses, right before my son's graduation from college. I had a sample of a product called ';Dermablend Concealer stick';... I had it in a slightly darker color than they would want to sell me. Tan is what I had. Let me tell you, nobody knew I had a black eye.. it's that good. I got a sull stick of it after that at one of the mall department stores. It wa orginally created for burn victims and other such major skin damage. Amazing stuff...
I think Physicians Formula still makes it, but it is a yellow concealer stick, that is supposed to help with dark circles. Also don't go over board, too much makes it worse.
USE A LIGHTER SHADE OF FOUNDATION UNDER YOUR EYES, THEN PUT YOUR FOUNDATION ON OVER.
Using an alpha hydroxy lotion at night is helpful. Make sure you're getting enough iron and vitamin D in your diet.

I don't know any way to conceal them except with concealer. It should be a shade lighter than your skin tone, otherwise the rings will just look darker and bruised. Blend it carefully and leave it for a few minutes while you do something else, then blend foundation or a bit of powder in the right shade for you skin over it.

If you wear dark eye make up, try something lighter and no lines under the eyes. A slight arch in your eyebrows helps to draw attention upward like a mini face lift.
I've read in a magazine that too much concealer does make it look worse. Instead, you can put a bright, illuminating color on the top lid to draw attention upward.
    I think cucamber could help
Vitamin K is supposed to help. Avon has a product w/ vitamin K designed for dark undereye circles.

Getting enough sleep consistently is essential.

Avoid wearing dark eyeliner. Curl your lashes and avoid mascara or use clear mascara. If you must use colored mascara, apply it to only your top lashes. Stick w/ soft neutral eyeshadows %26amp; keep your eyebrow immaculately groomed. Limit dramatic makeup colors to your lips.

Use gentle products on your face %26amp; treat any seasonal/environmental allergies. Allergies can make undereye circles worse.
u could try getting more sleep 2 make the black circles go away instead of trying 2 hide them!!
You're using the wrong concealer if you're telling me it makes it worse.

Really concealer is your only friend for this. You might be using the wrong shade.

Make sure yours has a PINK tint to it and is lighter than your complexion. Lots of girls go wrong in this department because they're not using the right kind.

For instance if your concealer has a yellow hint, your asking for a bad makeup job.

Make sure the foundation you put on top of that also is not what's messing up your look.

Good luck on finding a better way to conceal them!
Put an icepack or any sort of cold pack/compress over your eyes; it helps reduce the swelling and puffiness that brings out the undereye circles and makes them visible. Also getting more sleep might help as well as light undereye moisturizing creme.

What is the best under eyes circles concealer?

i have almay ---its okay but tell me what do you think works best

thanks :)What is the best under eyes circles concealer?
I have the same problem(I even have an ugly blue vein under my eye)- I have tried many many concealers because of this problem- the below routine works best, trust me-

don't use a lighter concealer than your skin tone, like we have always heard or don't use a yellow concealer-

instead, get a peachy or pink toned concealer and dab some powder on top(only a tiny bit) to hold it in place-

I do the above (I use Bobbie brown's corrector in peach, or you can try light peach, depending on your skin tone) and this works really well, even hides my blue veins like magic-

hope I helped! What is the best under eyes circles concealer?
Under eye concealer can make eye circles look worse than before. I also have under eye circles. What you should do instead of using makeup is putting something cold over your eyes for about five minutes. Don't use ice! Cooled cucumbers or cooled teabags work really well.
smashbox under eye brightner is very good.

also, try put a lighter concealer under your eyes, and then put ur normal powder on top x
smashbox highlighter pen. i would actually stick with bare minerals though... it's light, covers well, and lasts a long time.
I use Smashbox Under Eye Brightener - LUV IT!!

Can i use a normal paintbrush to apply concealer under my eye ?

I suppose so, but brushes created for makeup application are much better, or just use your fingers -- that's what I actually do with concealer, and so does a good friend that is a make up artist. Can i use a normal paintbrush to apply concealer under my eye ?
sure, i don't see why not, but why would you?Can i use a normal paintbrush to apply concealer under my eye ?
You can but i suggest u not to, cuz the skin under our eyes are really delicate . Why not use your fingertips its more better and be gentle with the eye area, u dont want a lot of wrinkles or worse under there do u?
    yes
You could, but makeup brushes are made with finer bristles for better results when applying makeup. The brushes are all designed differently for different makeup applications. You can get good but fairly inexpensive one at drug store like CVS. The have a good selection at a reasonable price (not that much more than a normal paint brush) but well worth it.
try a makeup sponge or your fingers- the paintbrush hairs may come lose and the concealer may not go on too evenly
Yes you can but you need to be careful about how stiff your brush is. Because paint brushes tend to be extremely stiff and the skin under your eye is delicate, it can get painful if not scratch your skin.

Do you have to put on foundation if your wearing concealer under eyes?

you don't HAVE to, but foundation kind of helps to blend things in. if your concealer is a good enough match to your skin tone, you don't have to bother.

try washing your face and putting on your concealer only. give it about an hour or so, then check yourself out in the bathroom mirror. check again standing outside in the sunlight with a mirror. if it looks too obvious, you might want to use a bit of foundation, too.Do you have to put on foundation if your wearing concealer under eyes?
no problem. :) thanks for the points. the best concealer i've found yet is Clinique Airbrush. it feels very light, not cakey, blends easily, and covers surprisingly well for being so lightweight. not cheap, but not bad. go to the Clinique counter and they'll let you try some out. good luck! Do you have to put on foundation if your wearing concealer under eyes?
I asked the exact same question to a couple makeup specialists, and they told me it was probably best if you do, which made me sad because I don't wear foundation but wanted to get rid of the bags under my eyes. :(

That said, what the other person said is probably correct. If you can find a concealor that matches your skin tone, you don't need to bother. I didn't try to do this because it seemed like a lot of work- there are a couple eye creams you can use that are supposed to permanently get rid of puffiness and bags. I use Innoxa and it seems to work pretty well. The Garnier Brightening Eye Roll On is also quite a good product.

Try what bad kitty face said first though, I think you might be able to try out various concealors at a local pharmacy and see what matches you skin tone.
its not needed but it helps for a heavy coverage

Dark under eye circles can be caused by fatigue, poor circulation, extra-thin skin under the eyes, hyper-pigmentation, illness or allergies. Treating the cause will help keep dark circles from coming back. In the meantime, consider the following cover-up tactics:

    Instructions

STEP 1: To hide dark under eye circles, select a cosmetic under-eye concealer that's one shade lighter than the foundation you're using. STEP 2: Understand that a pale yellowish concealer helps hide blue or grayish circles, while a light blue or mauvish concealer masks brownish under-the-eye bags. STEP 3: Begin with a freshly washed and exfoliated face. Dab concealer under your eyes gently, using a soft circular motion. STEP 4: Apply foundation up to the concealer and blend the two shades together gently, using a circular motion to cover dark under eye circles. STEP 5: Finish with a dusting of untinted face powder for a polished, seamless look. Tips %26amp; Warnings

Avoid concealers containing oils, because the oil will settle into the fine lines under your eyes and draw attention to the circles.

When using a cosmetic under eye concealer, wearing foundation is a must to avoid the ';white mask'; look.

Never use an over-the-counter facial and body cream bleach under the eyes to eliminate dark circles. Use only prescription creams administered under a doctor's supervision.

Always apply concealer gently--rubbing can cause swelling, redness or bruising of the under eye area.

    Overall Tips %26amp; Warnings

Do make efforts to discover the cause of your dark under eye circles. Are you getting enough sleep? Are you healthy? Consider allergies; they can cause ';allergic shiners'; when untreated.

Talk to a dermatologist about prescription bleach creams for chronic dark circles.

Ask your doctor about vitamin-A derivative creams and in-office chemical peels that might help lessen the darkness of your circles.

Consider buying a pair of cosmetic-only eyeglasses if concealer doesn't work for you. Pick out rims that rest right over the dark circles.

Personally I use the shade lighter, although it can't be too light or else it will look like you have white or ashy circles under your eyes and they will stand out. Make sure to blend very well and to apply a light dusting of powder over to set the concealer.
well my mom is a makeup artist and she does celebrity makeup...we live in LA...she always uses the same color as the rest of the face but put a slightly lighter powder on top of it and then does the rest of the face with a powder that matches the skin tone.
1 to 2 shades lighter, a darker shade will just make that area even darker.

I would use a brightning and concealing concealer. I use Benefits Erase Paste.
Anywhere your skin is darker than the rest of your face you'll want to use a lighter tone so you get a more even look.
a little bit lighter than your skin tone

    but dont go too light

    because it'll look funny
the same as your skin tone lighter to hide dark

yellow maybaline concealer in the lip stick like tube.Concealer for the under eye area?
There are a couple of answers to this:

*if you are looking for maximum coverage but a clean almost natural look, my favorite is MAC. Its in a tub, not a tube, so you need a make-up sponge to apply. The make-up sponge will soak up the excess color and help you blend.

*if you are looking for maximum coverage and a high glam look, check out Maybelline if you are on a budget, or Lancome if you are not. Estee Lauder is another good option. These brands have a three in one kit, one option is to lighten the area and then apply color, another option is to reduce any redness and the last is just your complexion color.

MAC. Hands down. I have very dark under eye circles too (although they are not really circular??), and have tried various concealors but MAC is by FAR the absolute best. Also, it is important to know that sometimes when your under eye area is verrrrry dark, you need to get a darker concealor instead of a lighter one. Trust me on this one!!
a French product called Chantecelle is great. I may have spelled it slightly wrong, but they sell it at Neiman Marcus and although a bit expensive, it is the best makeup you can buy!

I apply concealer under the eye it makes the wrinkles or puffiness look worse.?

I also would like to know how to cover fat pockets.I apply concealer under the eye it makes the wrinkles or puffiness look worse.?
using preparation-h works wonders for puffiness under the eyes! I didn't believe it until I tried it. You can apply concealer over it as well after a few minutes.I apply concealer under the eye it makes the wrinkles or puffiness look worse.?
Don't put on concealor, sometimes that just HIGHLIGHTS IT!

You need to get more sleep to start.

You can also consider taking a short nap with cucumber slices over your eyes...the cold will reduce the puffiness, and cucumber is known to extract impurities from your skin.

Also be VERY gentle around the eyes. THis skin is more delicate than any other skin on your face, so wash, dry, and moisturize it very softly and gently. YOu can try Arbonne Intelligence Not-So-Basic eye cream to help reduce puffiness and prevent wrinkling. BUt really, be super careful with this skin, it damages so easily.
depending on the puffiness you may try different types of makeup instead of concealer remember the light shade of a concealer will make it stand out more..you may try a little preparation H under the eyes for 15 min. before applying the makeup dab off the oil.then apply makeup. it would help to know what color you are if your light or olive and your undertones if you are yellow or blue this helps when choosing colour
Lot's of women share these issues and it's a great question. Unfortunately, there are no miracles. But to help your concealer from creasing, make sure to set it with a translucent powder. You could use a colored powder but be careful because the oil or silicone in the concealer will really grab the pigment in the powder and you could end up with darker circles than when you started. Also stay away from very creamy concealers, they tend to have more oil in them and will definitely crease in the wrinkles. As for puffy eyes, you can't really cover them since they are three dimensional. Concealer can't cover a shadow. Light concealer in the crease and a darker color in the puffy part can help, but ultimately hiding a puffy eye is more about lighting then color. Instead of trying to cover it, try minimizing it. Try an eye mask either at a department store counter or at your local pharmacy and store it in the fridge so it stays cool. The cold against your eye is what will get rid of the puffiness. If all else fails try Preparation H, (yes I know it sounds funny) but it will help reduce puffiness.
why cover them when you could get rid of them? I started using nutriumc re9 line and I saw a dramatic differance in a few weeks.I found this stuff at my local salon come to find out all this stuff is natural. no chemicals so its not drying my skin out and they also have a temparary lift that helps while your treating your pockets.I go to this site.http://myladybeau.myarbonne.com

OK PEOPLE. Concealer under eyes before or after LIQUID foundation ?

i use a creamy concealer, it's the one by mac.

and i use their studio fix fluid foundation as well.

i'd really like a real make up artist's help on this one.OK PEOPLE. Concealer under eyes before or after LIQUID foundation ?
ALWAYS after! See, the key to concealer is to pick a shade lighter than your foundation because the lighter color covers up the tones better than one of your own skin color. If you apply concealer before your foundation, you just cover up the light color you put on and the concealer does nothing! thats why you apply your skin-toned foundation FIRST then apply the lighter concealer SECOND. I hope I helped!OK PEOPLE. Concealer under eyes before or after LIQUID foundation ?
I was watching what not to wear and the makeup artist Carmidy said to apply it after foundation. Because if you apply it before when you put your foundation on it just wipes it off.
u always put concealer after the foundation, it never goes first.

u can google it too and you will find videos abt it. u can specify it if u wanna find the eye makeup tips only.

Genie. Its alittle bit pricey, but I've tried all the other well known brands ( Touche Eclat, Chanel so on...) and Genie was soooo much better and one tube lasts up to a year! So it works out really cheap!

Will find a link for you...

http://www.qvcuk.com/ukgasp/frameset.asp鈥?/a>Does anyone know a really good concealer for under eyes that is reaonably priced?
YSL touche l'eclat is quite pricey (拢23) but it's amazng and lasts for ages so you get your money's worthDoes anyone know a really good concealer for under eyes that is reaonably priced?
Touche eclat.....a bit more expensive than others but definately worth it and it last for ages.
virgin vie do a good one for about 拢10- similar to la touche eclat which is more than double the price
A really good idea is to apply your foundation just under the eyes very thinly, blend in some matt powder, the good thing about this is the foundation holds the powder and the power doesn't allow fallen eyeshadow to stick to it...which used to happen to me with mascara which looks like i have dark cirvles as well. but the powder helped this
Boujours do good concealers for under the eyes. I used to use it regularly, but I have recently found that using an eye gel or eye cream ender the eyes, my dark circles have reduced.
Boots No.7 has a great one, I think its called an Illuminator - it is exactly the same Touche Eclat but completely less money.
the color under ur eyes (bags) r purple. i read in a magazine that the opposite color of purple is yellow. so if u apply alittle yellow itll reduce the noticability creating a more nuetral color. it mentioned yellow lipstick which is probably way cheap.
Clinique make a great concealer and the tube lasts for at least a year.
Lightening touch from the body shop
Covergirls conceler it is called conceler vibe it runs about 3.00 dollars at cvs or wal-mart and it is a stick it isnt a liquid
Prescpriptives has some that is reasonable priced and works great!

    I get mine at nordstrom.
try a white eyeliner pencil and blend it, or try benefit eyebright, which works the same but is light pink. If you really want a concealer, try a mac one, its has a bunch of pgment, but isnt thick and wont loke cakey.
different concealers are varied on different types of skin tones. Go to a make up store and ask an attendant to help you.
    avon is very good.
i use the benefit one from sephora. it's really cheap and works well.
try buying a concealor from Avon. the concealor is great for under the eyes, and the price is cheap.
Almay has some great concealers and you can find them in your local wal-mart drug store etc. They are hypo-allergenic as well so pretty good for all skin types.
ysl one well worth it if not bare essential is meant to be good
best 1 ive come across is the YSL eclair thing, dont know proper name but its round 拢20
i have a rimmel one that works pretty well, it only cost about 拢3
benefit boi-ing rocks. available at sephoa or macys/nordstrom
Body shop's Lightening Touch is one of the best items of make up i've ever bought. Think it's around 拢8. It lasts ages and covers really well.
use max color. its avail at wal mart for about $7
Yves saint Laurent - touch eclat is excellent.

Yellow based concealer that is 1 tone lighter than your skin color.

    Yellow Concealer

    # Yellow-toned concealer is most often used to hide imperfections such as dark under-eye circles, slight bruising and slightly red areas, usually around the nose or cheekbones. Yellow concealer should always be used to cover anything that contains a purple-like tinge to the skin, as well as some light red areas.
A lot of people are telling you to use a yellow tone but you should actually be using a SALMON tone for concealing dark circles. Make sure it is one shade lighter but not TOO light. I use Neutrogena Cream Concealer Kit or Maybelline Liquid Concealer.
there is this chart that tells you if you have this color thing your trying to cover up you use this color to make it easier.

for blue i think its green!
Just remain natural, and if your dark circles stay, maybe you should sleep a bit more !

I use a long-lasting foundation under my eyes by Lancome. It's called Teint Idole Ultra. I also use it on my nose to conceal blackheads or any blemishes. I work at a restaurant and it stays put.
The best concealer in the world is double-wear by Estee Lauder. Go to any mall and ask them to match you. IT is the BEST!
The best concealer i have used is Nutrogena 3-in- 1 for eyes it has SPF 15, it depuffs and cover dark circles and it looks VERY natural i will never use anything else.
Put face moisturizer under your eyes. It works perfectly with me. It soothes the skin and blends the skin tone with your cheeks.
L'oreal's Touche Magique in warm beige :)

Concealer makes under eye skin look dry and flaky?

I've tried using mac and elizabeth arden concealers for the under eye skin and when i first put it on it looks fine but after a little while the skin under my eye looks dry and flaky so i am always rewashing my face with burts bees makeup wash. i just want the skin under my eyes to look smooth and not flaky.

by the way...before i put the concealer on my skin is smooth but when i apply the concealer it starts to look dry. :(

please help with suggestions on how to fix this problem!

Thankyou :DConcealer makes under eye skin look dry and flaky?
Is the concealer your using a liquid? This could be a big problem... especially if you have sensitive skin or live in a humid area. Try a powder. Theres a great one by Physicians Formula.Concealer makes under eye skin look dry and flaky?
Hm it might have to do with the type of concealer. Try a mineral powder concealer instead. I know Bare Minerals has one for sure. It could also just be dry skin that doesn't show up until you put makeup on. Try a moisturizer for your eyes.
I think that please is not dry
That happens to me too! I use a little bit of Estee Lauder Idealist and mix it with the concealer or apply Idealist first. You need to apply some sort of moisturizer first.
use eye cream. i suggest using like cover girl liquid concealer. it works magic!
Its probably your skin itself that is dry, not the concealer. If your skin is dry, then applying concealer will exaggerate it and make it look EXTRA dry. Try using moisturizer for a week or so, morning and night. then try your concealer again and see how things work out
i would recommend using a thicker moisturizer. a good one is Aveeno Positively Radiant. I use it and I love it! I had the same problem as you before too. You can also try putting a bit of moisturizer into your concealer.
You should try a moisturizer before you apply concealer, I find that Dove works best for my skin but everyone has different skin, try different brands. Before resorting to moisturizers, try gently exfoliating and using a little bit of Vaseline.
Put moisterizer on every single night before you go to bed.
I use clean makeup by Covergirl. it is a liquid and it works very well. It doesn't make my skin look or feel dry.

    exfoliate!

then moisturize!Concealer makes under eye skin look dry and flaky?
I used to have the same problem, here's what helped me. I started using a under eye cream or face primer before I put on my makeup, this creates a smooth canvas for the under eye makeup. I know you said that your skin is smooth before, but trust me this works. Then you wanna go with a non-cakey textured concealer, my all time fav is Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Collection concealer in the pink based colour All Over Light. Its going to look really pinky purple but PLEASE try it. I have had under eye circles forever and this stuff blows everything else away. It creates the illusion of light under the eye and makes you look fresh and wide awake. I LOVE IT.
try NARS concealer, they have great colors and their makeup is made to be used with your fingers. its my favorite concealer for blemishes %26amp; under the eyes
Exfoliate your skin tonight. Tomorrow wash and moisturize your skin before you put make up on. It could be your skin is dry or you need to use too much concealer or it's the wrong type of concealer for your skin type. Try getting a makeup primer and using that before you put any concealer on.
i use MAC concealer too, the studio finish one. here are some tips so it doesnt look flakey:

    1. try using a brush. i use an eye crease brush with mine, and it goes on way better than if i just use my finger or some other kind of brush. i just my brush for just $3 at Target.

    2. when i brought the concealer, the MAC lady gave me this primer kind of lotion thing that you put on before the concealer so the concealer won't go into your creases. i forgot the name, but if you go back to MAC, then they should be able to figure out what you're talking about.

    3. make sure you cover the concealer up by putting foundation on top of it. if you just but on the concealer, it can make the area look dry.

What is the best concealer to brighten under eyes?

I use Maybelline liquid for blemishes but when I put it under my eyes it is too heavy and accentuates the lines. Plus the color makes me look weird, kind of washed out. What concealer is good to cover just a little darkness, not a lot, and brighten up the eye area?

Thank you for your helpWhat is the best concealer to brighten under eyes?
Make sure you choose the right colour for your skin tone. I suggest Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer or Minneral concealer for a more natural look. It works for me and hope it does for you too.

?Can i use MAC'S new Studio Sculpt Concealer under my eyes for dark circles ?
Definitely. I went to MAC today for foundation as well as a concealer specifically for dark cirles under the eyes, and she suggested Studio Sculpt for both.

I love the foundation, and I love the concealer. So you can definitely use that concealer for your dark circles. Can i use MAC'S new Studio Sculpt Concealer under my eyes for dark circles ?
Yes that would work very well but i think you should use a powder ontop of it. Benefit makes a great one called ';Get Even'; I believe they only make 3 shades, one is light, one is medium and one is dark.

    Hope I helped!
Yes you can use it under eye to cover dark circles and also on spot and pimples.
    Yes :)

What colour concealer for under eye veins! ?

My skin is pink toned %26amp; I want to know the best colour concealer to cover the bluish veins under my eyes %26amp; if possible for blemishes %26amp; blotches. Ive red somewhere that if the skin is pink toned then ued a pink base concealer %26amp; I have also read that to cover veins a yellow base should be used, im confused, help!. As I am pink toned would I need to use a difference base colour concealer on my face to under my eyes.

    Thanks

any help ould be greatly appreciated. What colour concealer for under eye veins! ?
I usually use a slightly darker concealer than I use elsewise on my face; people expect skin in the eye sockets to be a little darker than elsewhere, and a person tends to look dead with a lighter blend in there. Don't use a yellow base on dark blue veins; that will just tint them. What colour concealer for under eye veins! ?
No,your concealer should be 1 shade lighter then your skin colour and 1 shade lighter then you foundation.Yellow base for under eyes is correct, you only need to use a tiny bit though, for other blemishes, spots just use a concealer one shade lighter then your foundation and then foundation over the top.

Also for a wide eye affect you could try putting white eyeliner on the outer rim of your eyes.(:

Best concealer for under eye circles?

I have some really dark under eye circles...I have had them for as long as I can remember. Alot of my family has the same problem so please nobody suggest cold spoons or teabags etc. They dont work for me because my circles dont go away...just a part of my life that I have to deal with unfortunately! My question is...which type of concealer is best for covering under eye circles? Liquid? Stick? Cream? I need some heavy duty coverage but I dont like the kind that rubs off easily or the kind that sets into the fine lines...makes me look old %26amp; im only 21!! Be careful with the sticks. they can pull the skin, increasing the chance of untimely wrinkles.
I have the same exact problem, and I'm only 24. I've found a system that works miracles!!! I use this stuff called ohh la lift by benefit for my puffy bags first (you might not have puffy circles) then i use a conceal brush with Vincent Longo's creme conceal. I've tried so many concealers it's not even funny. This one is the best i have found cause it is light but doesn't rub off, and really conceals but works with your skin tone to look natural! A good base layer of moisturizer also helps the conceal not to accentuate those lines and wrinkles! I buy all this stuff at saphora.com. It isn't ooh expensive but it isn't drug store make up either. It really works for me, and I hope you find something that works for you too!

You need to moisturize or moisturize and prime before you put on the concealer. Most any eye moisturizer or really gentle facial moisturizer will work. I have really dark under eyes and that's what I do. :D

Works like a charm everytime :)Concealer makes under eye skin look dry and flaky?
Make sure you moisturise before you apply the concealer and buy a concealer that is rich and moisturising. My concealer is a liquid one which never makes my skin appear dry but some of the stick ones do. If ths dosen`t work try using a little bit of liquid foundation under your eyes instead and dabbing it the same way u would concealer as it might not appear as dry : ) xxxxxxxxxxx

What brands of eye cream and Concealers are effective in reducing under eye dark circles?

I have heredity under eye dark circles that I can't seem to get rid of. I get plenty of sleep, exercise, and eat a balanced diet. I've tried every home remedy possible.

I do a so-so job in covering up my dark circles with concealer, I know that i'm suppost to use a yellow toned concealer that's a shade lighter than my foundation.

Can you recommend a good brand of concealer? Have you found a cream that's reduced the appearance of your dark circles?

PS: if someone could star this question I would be truely grateful because I never seem to get many satisfactory answers to this question. What brands of eye cream and Concealers are effective in reducing under eye dark circles?
use vitiman e u can get it at ur local drug store or u can use this product which u can buy at macy's its called hylexin but its almost 100.00 so if that not in ur budge get the vitiman e cream its about 10 bucksWhat brands of eye cream and Concealers are effective in reducing under eye dark circles?
Most definitely Cinema secrets! It even covers full tattoos. I use it for all my shoots (tv and print). Then I brush on a thin layer of rice powder, banana color(well, depending on your skin color of course)
There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

    Under eye Concealers..Whats your fav?

I wake up at about 5:45 am for work.I always look so exhausted and it doesnt make me feel to comfortable aroud the customers I have.I need a good concelar that will help with pretty darn bad under eye circles that I could pick up at a drugstore.Right now I am using neutrogena 3 in 1 but it doesnt seem to do much.I have dry skin so anything that is creamy would be great. Thanks so much.Under eye Concealers..Whats your fav?
Well, I would recommended MAC or Estee Lauder they have the best concealers your problem but you can鈥檛 find these brands at a drug store. The products at drug stores are not that good because they don鈥檛 last as long. So since you wake up this early I would but the MAC or Estee Lauder there about $22 but there worth it and they last long so it worth buying it. You can find both of these counters at MACYS.

Hope this helps.Under eye Concealers..Whats your fav?
My favorite is the Hydrabright Line Diffuser from Bee-Luscious. Unfortunately I have only been able to get it on-line. If you are interested in buying on-line just do a Google search for Bee-Luscious.
yves saint laurent, touche eclat is AMAZING. i have two friends that you would never know use it, except for if you ever see them without it on, they look like racoons. only thing is, you cant find it at a drugstore, but any department store has it.

Dermablend is awesome...I use it and after several years in cosmetics, I have tries quite a few products. I went through 5 different brands of concealers before I came across Physician's Formula. They have it in beige, yellow, and green. I love the yellow because it doesn't conform to any particular skin tone. It works on me!

Is there a way to keep the concealer under my eyes looking more fresh?

*I brush powder under my eyes to keep it in place

*I wear makeup for at least 9 hrs a dayIs there a way to keep the concealer under my eyes looking more fresh?
Okay, first suggestion is do not put to much on. If you do it tends to get cakey and makes your skin look dry. Second, I would suggest the tinted moistrizer or mousse since they stay on longer and make your skin look a bit more natural the the powder does. Also be sure you blend it in well so your skin tone looks even. =)Is there a way to keep the concealer under my eyes looking more fresh?
no sorry to tell you but thats why they fit in your purse and come with a mirror

you need to do touch ups during the nine hours nothing lasts nine hours on your face
Sure is! 1st, use your foundation under the eyes and then while still moist, use pressed powder and the pad that comes with it, a brush doesn't apply enough or evenly.
If you wear make-up that long, you need to find a concealer that can withstand activity. Cream based concealers generally will fade throughout the day, it is a given. So touch-ups will need to happen somewhere down the line during the day. However, if you want to know a secret...the secret is you need to be willing to pay a little more for a higher quality product. If you choose products like Cover Girl, Maybelline, etc...you are going to get shabby results, period. The pigments used in these products are good, but not for the quality you are desiring. You need to be willing to pay for the quality. So unless you are wanting to do that, suck it up and keep touching-up. If you want better results, let's talk and contact me. :)
Ya gotta buy those oil blotting papers. Use them on your face a few times throughout the day. And it wouldn't hurt to keep some powder with you at work to dust on your face...but do that AFTER you soak up the excess oil with the oil blotters. I swear by those!!!
Why are you using concealer? Do you have dark circles? If so, maybe you should try one of the undereye creams that bleach the dark soft under eye tissue. click here: http://www.marykay.com/shawnwilliams/ski鈥?/a>
Get a concealer with a wand %26amp; dot it under your eyes. Then, smooth it through using your finger going side to side. Don't use so much concealer.

Whats a good non-greasy concealer for under-eye, my mascara rubs off on mine .(racooneyes)?

Number One: Buy waterproof mascara. BIG difference.

As for a concealer, use baby powder before you apply any make up. I also use it after the first coat of mascara, let it dry, and then put on more mascara to cover the power. It thickens and elongates the lashes!Whats a good non-greasy concealer for under-eye, my mascara rubs off on mine .(racooneyes)?
Nutrogena makes non-greasy makup that is great. If you use a loose powder to set your foundation, it should help with rub-off. If it's because it's ungodly hot out and you're sweating, make sure your mascara is waterproof, and carry some loose powder with you for touchups. Blot the sweat with a tissue and put a tiny bit of powder to re-set your foundation.Whats a good non-greasy concealer for under-eye, my mascara rubs off on mine .(racooneyes)?
    i would say covergirl concealer
I use vicent longo for undereye concealer. it's really creamy, not greasy.

about the mascara, here is what i do. My eye lashes point down so i have double protection. first, after i put on undereye concealer, i put some clear powder on. i recommend bare escentuals mineral veil. second, since i hate waterproof mascara(they don't wash out easily and are usually heavy), i put one coat of clear mascara on top of the dark mascara (do it after the dark mascara is semi-dry). the clear coat prevent rub off, and the clear powder is just a safe guard. i have never had a rub off after i done that.
    Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat.
Any thing from Loreal or Clinique
Benefit has a great one that comes in a great kit, it goes on smooth and is not greasy at all.

I like Dream Matte Mousse but if your mascara is rubbing everywhere get waterproof mascara.
Try MACs Select Cover up Concealer. It's water resistant yet it protects your under eye area by hydrating it.
';Cover Girl Aqua Smooth'; Liqui-Solid Compact Makeup, it's like liquid that you rub anywhere on your face and I use it for under my eyes particularly because I also have dark circles and I love it because it lasts all day and it starts out as a liquid when you first put it on then changes into like a dry powder, it works really good for me, I really recommend that more than anything else for the dark circles.

    Hope this helps!

CONCEALERS! what is best to use on dry under eyes: liquid concealer or a creamy one?

which won't make it look flaky and dry and obvious im wearing makeup??

Any tips on how to apply the best one?CONCEALERS! what is best to use on dry under eyes: liquid concealer or a creamy one?
to be honest, i wouldn't recommend any, because they can make you look more tired and give you a older appearance, but that doesn't mean i wouldnt mention a few, But first you need to keep up with moisturising your undereyes. preferably with a non perfumed, and oragnic moisturiser like neals yards frankincense cream (which is 98% organic certified) and is a natural moisturiser, which i use on the daily bases all over my face and over and under my eyelids. its extremely good! i assure you, or if not, a Vitamin C,, Vitamin E cream which will brighten your undereyes in time naturally, it will also lubricate the under eye, making it less prone to flakey ness with make up. and will reflect light. which will in time defeat the appearance of dark under eyes,

For the make up. Use maybelline age rewind under eye concealer which is a liquid with rubs into a creamy concealer. but only use a minimal amount, as the stuff is very 'concentrated' as you will see when you put it on. The price is very good. and the best shade to get is a shade lighter than your skin tone. only by one shade. so if you are a beige skin tone, with yellow undertones. you would buy fair-medium, and so on. Remember Moisturiser Before, Concealer After.

Also, remember before you invest in a new concealer, there is colour correctors out there, powders and minerals which can diminish the appearance of dark under eyes, with certain colour shades. :)

Hope i've helped!CONCEALERS! what is best to use on dry under eyes: liquid concealer or a creamy one?
if your undereyes arent really dark then i woundnt even recommend using a concealer..try using a tinted moisturizer. the one by covergirl works amazing and that gives you a light coverage that doesnt clog pores, sun protection and moisture, but if they are really dark or moderatly dark i would reccommend a liquid one because i think that creamy ones look too thick and that is just robbing your skin of what it needs!
i personally think creampy ones are better and some tips is put a face cream or a face moisturizer under eyes before you but on the conclearer it will make it go on smoother and it will make it last longer
I would say liquid. I use GOSH Touch Up concealer and it's great. It doesn't look too makeup-y and it doesn't irritate my skin, which is important for the delicate eye area. It covers well too.
I find liquid best: just add a little under your eye and rub it in until you've concealed what you wanna conceal.
    creamy
Liquid, I love YSL Touche Eclat, its a life saver.

Then just rinse it off. Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Covergirl's TruBlend TRUconceal works good for me. C:What's A Good Concealer for under-eyes and acne scars?
I don't know how makeup could make you look skinnier, but I do know a very good concealer that may cost you.

It's Makeup Forever brand and it's under eye cocealer that works very well. I believe it's around 20$ and is sold at most Sephoras.

There's another concealer that's Sephora's brand that is just 12$, I bought it last week and I'm loving it.

I don't know if you've ever heard of Sephora before, but it has alot of different high quality makeup lines and if you're new to makeup, you can go in there and have somebody who works there make you over and explain and show you what suits your face, etc. That's what I did for my 13th birthday and if i wouldn't have, I still would have been wearing cheap makeup from a pharmacy (not that there's anything wrong with that).

You can find a Sephora almost anywhere and there are store locations on their website.

    Goodluck! :)
Try Mac's concealers. I especially like their Studio Sculpt concealer with spf 30 (30!!). It's amazing with under eye and blemishes. It's a little pricy if you're new to makeup. Since you are a newbie, I'd suggest checking out drug stores like walmart, walgreens, target. Or go directly to higher end brands or dep. stores like sephora, mac, etc. Whatever suits you best and your budget. But drug stores would be a good starter if you want to experiment diff. makeupo and then build onto your collection..

    Have fun!

Oh and as glasses are concerned, I've noticed that girls that wear eyeliner look pretty(:. and try eyeshadows that bring out your eyes. As far as your question about the weight thing, i don't know. But, hope I helped. :D

----If you're a newbie with makeup, I'd suggest going to Youtube and checking out makeup vids! I have and its fun and oh so helpful. You can even search 'Best concealers'; or something. There are very helpful makeup gurus-----
It depends on the type of formula you would like to use. Stick concealer is nice. For under eyes you want to go a shade lighter than your foundation color. Swipe your finger on the stick, then pat on under your eyes. Set with iridescent powder. This works on acne as well.

Shading techniques vary and can help you shed weight using makeup. Keep in mind you want to accentuate your best features with a highlight.

As for glasses, try using lighter colors to help pop your eyes.

Whats a good concealer that covers dark circles under the eye?

Does anyone know of any concealer that actually conceals dark circles under the eye? Ive tried a couple but none of them do that much of a good job. If you could let me know the brand name and roughly how much it costs would be very much appreciated, thanksWhats a good concealer that covers dark circles under the eye?
Touche Eclat by YSL around 20 pounds................ i couldn't live without it.Whats a good concealer that covers dark circles under the eye?
benefit bo-ing is great, quite heavy but really covers the circles. Used with lemonade (a light yellow coloured concealer) for using on the tops of the eyes it works great. YSL touch eclat is good but not on its own, use it underneath your regular concealer or you end up with white panda eyes.Quite expensive 拢20 ish
What about going to bed earlier, but being serious i think some people just have them and cannot do much about them
find any light green or light orange foundation..put around the eyes. that wil do..but make sure to put on the foundation of your skin colour on top of it or else you'll end up looking like alien or something..good luck!!
    Try Benefit Boi-ing (拢15.50)
I would suggest mary kay also it comes in several different shades and is brilliant . It costs around 拢9.50 but you could get it from ebay a bit cheaper. I used o use one that cost 拢20 but this one was far better as it was half the price and you can choose the colour to suit your skin tone :)

You should also try to eat plenty of fruit and veg have a few early nights and drink buckets of water as dark circles can sometimes be inherited but also You can add to the problem :)
I've heard Touche Eclat is good also, it's usuyou can buy it here much cheaper for about 拢13:

umm there r many u nw dat actually do work.....from wht i've heard, ysl touch eclat is wht professionals use too!! so it must be doing wonders i suppose.....also bobbi brown do lovely yellow based concealers.....benefit concealers are also a must try product!!
Touch Eclat - definitely - its about 拢22 but lasts for ages and does the job really well. It even reduces puffiness!
you cannot get better than touche eclait by YSL it is a bit more expensive than the run of the mill concealers but it is worth it, and it lasts a bit longer, because you dont need as much.
its great one of life's essentials and it's only 拢16!!!!!
I have not used this personally but my friend uses Majic Pencil %26amp; Conealer Pencil all the time she buys it from http://www.wishcosmetics.co.uk/acatalog/鈥?/a> and says it works great for under the eyes.

YSL Touche Eclat, costs beetween 19 and 21 pounds, last for ages and is brilliant, I wouldn't leave the house without it ever. Def worth investing in, will brighten up your face as well as concealing dark under eye circles. Buy it from YSL counters, in debenhams, frasers etc and larger boots stores, its a little cheaper from airports - duty free shopping.
    How about more sleep ?

Its cheaper in the long run and you will feel better for it , unless of course you are a Panda. Too many women are conned by the false promises of the cosmetic industry - ';colored grease at 拢$ 10/20 a pot - madness!
There is a special stick which you can buy from boots specially for dark circles around the eyes, its a light green concealer, I know it sounds weird but it really does work, it doesnt look green when its on, it mixes with the dark circles and looks natural......... I couldnt be without mine!!!

The Clinque one is better but theres a Stila one that's very good but it's like $45!Which concealer works best for under eye dark circles?
Its $1 more than the Clinique, but try MAC Select Cover-Up ($16.50)

I use this on my under eyes and spot acne and it works wonders

All you literally need is a small dot for both eyes (so dont let the small tube hesitate you from trying this product because I have had it for a few weeks and it looks like nothing is missing)

    OR

Best thing to do, go to Macys in the mall and go to the beauty section and try both MAC and Clinque at their make up counters.

That is how I made my choice ... and MAC's worked perfectly on me ... where as Clinique was not the best color match (I am a NW20, so I am fair with some pink undertone and it can eb hard to match sometimes)
I use Maybelline Mineral Power鈩?Natural Perfecting Concealer my shade in 4-5 light in cream. It costs like 7 bucks and works pretty well.

I don't recommend the second link, it tends to make the circles look more purple. If you're shopping from Sephora, I recommend Kat Von D's Tattoo Concealer. It works WONDERS!

I currently use Ben Nye (theater makeup) Total Cover All Wheel II in SK-200 (The lightest wheel for pale skin). You can purchase this on Amazon or eBay.

    Good luck!
I'd say the Clinique one but I've never tried either. I have been using M鈥鈥 Select Moisturecover in NW15. NW is a bit warmer than NC so it conceals the blue under tones better in my opinion.

    Here's a link to it, it's $16.50 USD:

Cheaper and more effective is to use an eye mask with gel in it or ice pack in a cloth to apply just under the eyes when you first wake up for a little while. The cold can and does take the puffiness and dark circles down.
I haven't tryed the 2nd one but Clinque works well to hide my dark circles! I use it all the time!

Concealer(not under eye one!!!) or regular foundation?

which one is better? practical? ONLY drugstore brands.Concealer(not under eye one!!!) or regular foundation?
You usually can't use concealer without foundation (or you will look like you have weird spots on your face), but you can wear foundation without concealer, so if I had to take one, I would take the foundation. However, you can always use both.Concealer(not under eye one!!!) or regular foundation?
they're both good things to have

concealer is good to cover up things like undereye circles, pimples, etc.

concealer usually has to be worn with foundation, but foundation can also be worn alone

so it's best to have both, but if you have to choose one, go with the foundation
Usually you layer it, with both foundation to even out your skin tone and concealer to cover problem spots.

What eye cream, foundation, concealer and powder works best for lines and dark circles under the eyes?

I'm 42 and have recently starting working part-time and am, thus, wearing make-up more often. When I look in the mirror during the day, I'm shocked at how noticeable the lines under my eyes are. I apply foundation and use a yellow concealer (no particular brand) and then powder. I need to know of a good foundation and powder that will conceal wrinkles. (I've read that an illuminating powder works best.) Also, I was using Olay regenerist eye lifting serum but am now using ROC eye cream. Recently, I read that applying cucumber daily for 15 minutes may help reduce swelling and dark circles. Is this true? What eye cream, foundation, concealer and powder works best for lines and dark circles under the eyes?
The best thing to conceal under eye lines is to apply olive oil under your eyes every night. Mediterranean women have been doing this forever and it really works!

To conceal.. I always use Estee Lauder double wear foundadtion with NO powder.. When you put powder under your eyes, it has a tendency to make the lines noticeable. Put powder on the rest of your face but avoid under the eyes.

Hope this helps! What eye cream, foundation, concealer and powder works best for lines and dark circles under the eyes?
i think a great concealer for under eye circles is clinique airbrush ! its great and it jus looks so natural , but make sure you get the right colour ! and also when you apply products under eyes doontt rub them in , get your ring finger and dab it softly and lightly in a rotating way because that will just cause more wrinkles and makes them more visible!

    good luckkk :)X
Concealer isn't great for lines and dark circles under the eyes. It tends to crease and make it lines look deeper. But if you want to go this route and are prepared to retouch a few times a day, then I would choose a solid rather than a liquid concealer. Mac studio stick concealer is great.

A little tip for younger looking eyes is hemorrhoid cream. Sounds crazy but it tightens the skin and lifts it. The best advice for me though, is a light coloured powder eye-shadow underneath the lower eyelid, under foundation.
    continue using eye creams.

for makeup, i like maybelline pure makeup foundation. tru blend is also good, but unfortunately i am allergic to it (i put it on and five minutes later could not see at all). my friends like it, though.

apply foundation evenly. afterwards, use a brush and sweep loreal bare naturals foundation powder under your eyes. then use loreal transluscent powder on your cheekbones and on your browbones. it illuminizes your eyes and helps hide the appearance of circles. don't use yellow concealer.

before you go to bed, put a spoon in the freezer. in the morning, cup the spoon over each eye for awhile- it can help.

try putting mascara on your lower lashes, too.

    good luck!

If preperation h is a good concealer for dark circles under your eyes, how often would you have to use it?

Is this something you'd use daily or would it go away for good?If preperation h is a good concealer for dark circles under your eyes, how often would you have to use it?
It's not suppose to conceal your dark circles its suppose to tighten the sensitive skin underneath your eye and in turn reduce your dark circles. A lot of older women (who believe it works) put it on daily or every time they where make up. If your dark circles aren't terribly bad I'd recommend that you try another method. You could apply hot or cold packs to your eyes for 15 minutes a night and try to get more rest. There are also some great products made by cosmetics company's that have aloe and cucumber extracts in them that can reduce the appearance of circles. Real cucumbers work great too. Once you reduce the appearance of the dark circles any type of foundation you use should make them look better. You can also apply some white eyeliner to the corners of your eyes instead of dark eyeliner and it will make you're eyes pop witch can help draw the attention away from them.If preperation h is a good concealer for dark circles under your eyes, how often would you have to use it?
once a day is enough.. preperation H is quite strong..

It's not a concealer, it's a healer. You should consider it as an eye cream and apply daily (if you have serious dark circles, you may apply twice a day).

Since it has in ingredient LYCD (live yeast cell derivative) it will help to minimize dark circles. And LYCD is the active ingredient of numerous eye creams also.

Hi there, i just wanna no what type of concealer i should buy to hide my dark under eye circles. I heard taht it has to be two shades darker/lighter? Or something like that. I am really confused, as I have never used a concealer b4, so plz help me! And should I use the stick ones??? They look like lipsticks, only nude coloured. And also what type of concealer should I use to hide my spots/blemishes?? Plz help me, thanks, have a nice day u lovely people! xoxoxWhat type of concealer should I buy 4 under eye circles?Brand names plz...?
First of all, you need a liquid concealer. You should apply it by gently dabbing, not rubbing as the skin around your eyes doesn't have much elasticity and rubbing can cause wrinkles over time. Secondly, make sure that it is a ';luminous'; concealer. I know that both Revlon and L'oreal make them, but I use one from The Body Shop that works quite well. Make sure you match it to your skin tone and you can use it for both dark circles and blemishes/spots.What type of concealer should I buy 4 under eye circles?Brand names plz...?
I use PHYSICIANS FORMULA I have a quad. to hid a multitude of sins... I get horrid under eye circles so I use the yellow to hide them... It also works for blemishes.. I also use the light concealer in PHYS. FORMULA.. It comes in a pen and is easy to apply! I go about a shade lighter.. but you may have to try a couple..

** I also started trying applying a sliced potato or cucumber slices to your eyes to ease the circles... It works.... Or even a used t-bag cooled in the freezer...

** If you are still really confused go to the local mall and have a make-up person help you decide what color works best...

    Good luck
Hey there! I think a cream concealer is best for under eye circles as it gives good coverage and long lasting. (MAC do a few concealers which I have always used. I use the 'select cover up' concealer and the 'studio finish' concealer) Make sure you are applying your concealer on top of your foundation. These concealers are also good for spots! Your concealer should be one shade lighter than your skin tone (dont go too much lighter, or it will make you look like you have white marks under your eyes)

Hope this has helped you a little. xxx
I also have major dark circles, and they are really pronounced because I have such light skin. I would recommend using a cream concealer, because liquid concealer tends to be too sheer to cover dark discolorations, and fades easily. I've read online that yellow based concealers work best to counteract dark circles, and depending on how dark your circles are, the concealer should be one to two shades lighter than your natural skin color. I currently use Prescriptives' camouflage cream, but am looking into trying Bobbi Brown's line of concealers and correctors, which have been highly recommended for concealing dark circles.

I would also recommend that you go to a makeup counter and have a makeup artist help select the right shades for you and let you try out the product before you buy it.
you should use YSL TOUCHE ECLAT radiant touch, its quite expensive 拢22.50 but its really good. It covers circles under your eyes really well and you can use on stretch marks, nose and lips. Gok Wan rates it number 1! Xx
when i watch programs with make up artists on them they always say use a lighter shade to cover blemishses and bags

Hi there, poor you. Dermatologist cannot help with this one. This is normally due to a lack of vitamin K, which I suspect you do not get in your diet. Try live yogurt, eggs, safflower oil, soyabean oil, fresh oily fish, fish liver oil, cabbage (coleslaw), leafy green veg. I suspect because of your age you rarely eat any of these. Good luck and let us know how you get on xI am 14 and i have really bad dark circles under my eyes and no concealer or creams seem to work.can you help?
well you might have an eye infection, if i was you i would go and see your loacal GP
Theres nothing on the market yet.
if you use computers a lot, watch tv in the dark or actually need glasses it can affect the area around the eyes. make sure you drink plenty of water and make sure you're getting your 5 a day.
Is is hereditary? Does your mom or someone else in your family have the same problem? If concealers don't help at all, you should probably talk to your parents about going to a dermatologist.
I have the same problem. I find that having a tan always makes mine look less visable so get that fake tan out and slap it on.
Dump the boyfriend no more black eyes.
Try not to drink too much water right before bed. And you might want to try to sleep with pillows set higher. GIve it a try for couple of weeks and if it doesn't improve, then seek a dermatologist help.

i have the same problem but Ive finally got the right stuff for me

clinque , its expensive but it works and you don't need alot !

just go to cinque and ask for some help and they will find the right make-up for you

if this doesn't work then i don't know what will
i heard that green powder will cover redness and that yellow will lighten e.g. for your dark circles...cud tr it with eyeshadows ?

    gd luck
I was going to say that you probably need more sleep, but maybe make an appointment with a dermatologist or someone who can help you figure out whats causing that!
Hi,i suggest you drink a lot of water ,and don't use the computers for long hours very much, also, don't watch the t.v close up.
Some people are just prone to them.xxx
it might have something to do with your liver.....i'd go see a doctor!
    stop doing drugs
