Concealer makes under eye skin look dry and flaky?

I've tried using mac and elizabeth arden concealers for the under eye skin and when i first put it on it looks fine but after a little while the skin under my eye looks dry and flaky so i am always rewashing my face with burts bees makeup wash. i just want the skin under my eyes to look smooth and not flaky.





by the way...before i put the concealer on my skin is smooth but when i apply the concealer it starts to look dry. :(


please help with suggestions on how to fix this problem!

You need to moisturize or moisturize and prime before you put on the concealer. Most any eye moisturizer or really gentle facial moisturizer will work. I have really dark under eyes and that's what I do. :D

Make sure you moisturise before you apply the concealer and buy a concealer that is rich and moisturising. My concealer is a liquid one which never makes my skin appear dry but some of the stick ones do. If ths dosen`t work try using a little bit of liquid foundation under your eyes instead and dabbing it the same way u would concealer as it might not appear as dry : ) xxxxxxxxxxx
