You should listen to Swanlove and Bella421, they're right. MAC carries a concealer called ';Select Cover-Up'; and you don't have to do all that ';layering...'; , yuk!
With most make-up applications, you must make sure your canvas is prepared. Cleanse, tone, moisturize. What's nice about MAC concealer is that you can wear it alone, as a foundation or with their MAC Studio Fix powder/make-up, or MAC Blot Powder (if you don't like wearing foundations).
Benefit (**if you are of a darker complexion**) has concealers for those with darker-medium tones or darker skin tones and are emollient. You can find it at Sephora, Bloomingdale's or Nordstrom's.
When you buy drug store product at the drug store price... you get what you paid for. i'm with jane...no liquid. try a loose powder. also, sephora.com sells a real good concealer.
get an ice pack or just regular ice in a plastic baggy so it wont be to cold and put it under your eyes...in other words put it where the dark circles are and just put the ice pack or ice there for 10 min every day every 5 hours (except when your asleep)....try it...
also every morning when you wake up...rub you eyes gently for 1 min or more relax, massage it and that will help reduce it...
EAT:
10 fruits and vegetables a day....it works for water retention around the eyes too!

Good luck, Sweetie.
