when i watch programs with make up artists on them they always say use a lighter shade to cover blemishses and bags
;)What type of concealer should I buy 4 under eye circles?Brand names plz...?
Hey there! I think a cream concealer is best for under eye circles as it gives good coverage and long lasting. (MAC do a few concealers which I have always used. I use the 'select cover up' concealer and the 'studio finish' concealer) Make sure you are applying your concealer on top of your foundation. These concealers are also good for spots! Your concealer should be one shade lighter than your skin tone (dont go too much lighter, or it will make you look like you have white marks under your eyes)
Hope this has helped you a little. xxx
First of all, you need a liquid concealer. You should apply it by gently dabbing, not rubbing as the skin around your eyes doesn't have much elasticity and rubbing can cause wrinkles over time. Secondly, make sure that it is a ';luminous'; concealer. I know that both Revlon and L'oreal make them, but I use one from The Body Shop that works quite well. Make sure you match it to your skin tone and you can use it for both dark circles and blemishes/spots.
you should use YSL TOUCHE ECLAT radiant touch, its quite expensive 拢22.50 but its really good. It covers circles under your eyes really well and you can use on stretch marks, nose and lips. Gok Wan rates it number 1! Xx
I also have major dark circles, and they are really pronounced because I have such light skin. I would recommend using a cream concealer, because liquid concealer tends to be too sheer to cover dark discolorations, and fades easily. I've read online that yellow based concealers work best to counteract dark circles, and depending on how dark your circles are, the concealer should be one to two shades lighter than your natural skin color. I currently use Prescriptives' camouflage cream, but am looking into trying Bobbi Brown's line of concealers and correctors, which have been highly recommended for concealing dark circles.
I would also recommend that you go to a makeup counter and have a makeup artist help select the right shades for you and let you try out the product before you buy it.
I use PHYSICIANS FORMULA I have a quad. to hid a multitude of sins... I get horrid under eye circles so I use the yellow to hide them... It also works for blemishes.. I also use the light concealer in PHYS. FORMULA.. It comes in a pen and is easy to apply! I go about a shade lighter.. but you may have to try a couple..
** I also started trying applying a sliced potato or cucumber slices to your eyes to ease the circles... It works.... Or even a used t-bag cooled in the freezer...
** If you are still really confused go to the local mall and have a make-up person help you decide what color works best...
Good luck
